I have used a number of Ted Baker products over the years and they have become one of my favourite toiletry brands and I regularly pick up one of their products in Boots when they have some kind of offer on. I first tried this one at a friends house before we left for a night out, We hadn't planned to go out so I hadn't arrived there dolled up so used a bit of this when he sprayed it. I tend to have a few fragrances on the go at the same time and this particular one lasted for a couple of years as I used it sparingly, opting for more expensive fragrances.
The fragrance was introduced in 1998 and has become one of the most popular fragrances in the Ted Baker stable. It's a fresh citrus led fragrance which is ideal for the younger male as it's overall scent is similar in style to others available from other brands. The fragrance is available from around £8 for a 30ml bottle and you may find a bargain online. The bottles go up to 100ml which is pretty standard for fragrances of this kind. The bottle has a distinctive look which is reminiscent of other products in the Ted Baker range.
This is a good fragrance which starts off with the citrus Top notes of lime, bergamot and lemon and lead into the heart notes of rosemary, cypress and juniper. These lead to the Lingering base notes of sandalwood, amber, musk and cedar. Although this is a decent quality fragrance it won't last as long as the more expensive fragrances, It lasts around two hours for each of the Top, Heart and base notes which is still fairly good. It's ideal for everyday use and also for wearing on nights out. I particularly like the opening notes which have a really nice citrus scent.
I would recommend this Ted Baker scent to anyone looking for a decent but inexpensive fragrance that is suitable for everyday use as well as using on nights out and special occasions. It's particularly ideal for a second fragrance so your main more expensive fragrance lasts longer. However I would still recommend the fragrance as a standalone purchase due to it's decent fragrance and also the offers that are available on the Internet. Give it a spray in Superdrug and see what you think. I would consider buying it again if the deals were still decent when I come to buy a new fragrance in a few months time.
Should I have been offended at Christmas when I recieved over 5 different bottles of aftershave from different people? Well that's what comes of having three sisters, a girlfriend and a Mum! Now no longer living at home means that I can get away with only wearing the ones given to me by my family when I go around, but the one my girlfriend gave me-let's just say I had little choice in whether I wore it or not! So it's a good job that I liked it really. I like clean, fresh smelling scents that are not too overpowering and Ted Baker SkinWear certainly fits into that category.I would describe the smell as being quite fruity and in particular, lemony, but with warm undertones. I have been informed that this is what is called the *Base Notes*, the scent that remains after the intial smell has gone away. Here are all the notes in all their glory: Top Notes: Lime, Bergamont, Lemon Heart Notes: Cypress, juniper, rosemary Base Notes: Amber, cedarwood, sandalwood, warm musk The Packaging is very funky-a 100ml glass bottle in a similar shape to a milk bottle. It is wrapped in a blue rubber casing with grips on it. It makes it very easy to hold, and very hard to break! The blue rubber has imprinted into it on the side SKINWEAR and TED BAKER LONDON on the front. The cap is made of brushed aluminium and is a screw cap. There is no spray feature, you simply splash it on, but you only need to use a little bit. The packaging is quite appealing and modern and I certianly do not feel embarrassed or girly to have a bottle of this in my bathroom cabinet! Now then, I would never dream of asking my girlfriend how much a present cost (I get a good gage from the money I make selling them off at EBay-Joke!) so I went on the internet and found that a 100ml bottle costs approximately £30. She must love me, hey! Actually, I'm sure she nicks it for herself as the quantity in the bottle seems to be going down a lot qui
cker than the rate that I use it! I was also informed by my girlfriend that Ted Baker fragrances are tested on humans, not animals, so no bunnies were hurt just to make me smell good. If I put this aftershave on in the morning, by the time I get home from work there is still a faint smell of it, so it has excellent staying power. The *Sting* factor Personally I enjoy the invigorating sensation of splashing aftershave onto my freshly shaven cheeks. Some of the cheaper aftershaves do actually sting so much that they hurt though. I can assure you that Ted Baker gives a fresh Zing! *Ideal Situations for wearing Ted Baker Aftershave* An Interview (but ONLY a very little bit, you do not want to stink the room out!) A Night on the Pull - the ladies will love it-not that I would know ;-) When you meet someone off the internet-come on, you want to give a good impression don't you! I hope you enjoyed my forray into the girly world of perfumes and aftershaves. I am not a girly male, I never use moisturiser or hair products, but Ted Baker is welcome in my cupboard at any time. So, why do I want to buy Ted Baker a drink? Well, every time I wear his aftershave I get such a good reaction in my girlfriend...I might even buy another bottle when this one runs out!
I was given a Ted Baker Skinwear gift box, which consisted of Eau de toilette 100ml, shaving oil, and body wash. I wouldn't normally buy such a set of products, but as I was given it, i'm very pleased indeed. The smell is very nice. Not too strong, but still quite noticable. I'm no expert on 'smells' so I can't give you a more in depth description of the fragrance. I must say however, that its one of the best frangrances i've used so far. I use the eau de toilette and body wash all the time, and it seems to be lasting for a long time, which seems to be good value for money. On the ted baker website it gives some prices of approx £25 for the eau de toilette, approx £7 for the shaving oil, but oddly the body was isn't listed. The products also have nice packaging. It makes an ideal gift for your partner, or if you are a man then its worth buying anyway! They also sell Ted Baker 'Woman' frangrance and an 'Endurance' Fragrance. Take a look on www.tedbaker.co.uk
