“ Brand: Christian Dior / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
Like the other reviewers have said, this is a lighter, fresher version of the purple bottled original Poison perfume. However, although it is more delicate than the original, it is by no means tender - and it's a real shame that they have discontinued this product as it's lovely and vibrant. I hope Dior choose to bring this back, even in a limited edition way, as I'd be willing to purchase it despite a hefty price tag. My mother prefers this version as it's more citrus based and not as gourmand as Poison. We have a bottle of this left and it's half filled - thankfully the sillage and longevity are both excellent so it'll last for some time. With regards to the compostition its notes are as follows:
Top: bergamot, mandarin orange, Brazilian rosewood and asafoetida
Middle (heart): honey, tuberose, orange blossom, freesia and rose
Base: sandalwood, vanilla, musk and heliotrope
The main accords of this perfume is that of white floral and citrus - it does not have the same depth and spice of Poison which many found overbearing. I find that the most prominent notes for me are the bergamot, orange blossom and freesia, and I have difficulty picking up the vanilla note. The perfume matures after it's been sprayed, and you get a wonderfully gentle woodiness from the sandalwood and musk. In this sense it's a rather seductive and elegant perfume to wear, but the initial burst of citrus makes it fresh at first. The honeys adds a mellow smell of sweetness which isn't artificial and hums particularly well with the orange blossom.
I have tried to purchase another bottle of this perfume over the internet but it's been a difficult task - from what I know some companies are offering perfumed oils which smell similar to this but I'm not too sure. The original Tendre Poison is the best!
This is one of my favorites and I always make sure I have a bottle in my house. The box, is rectangular and dark green. There are some light streaks so it looks as if a picture was taken just below the surface. On the front you see a black egg surrounded with gold and white. In the egg says Tendre Poison Christian Dior. The bottle is made of translucent green glass in a sort of egg shape. Over the entire length of the bottle, they cut into the glass giving it a more exclusive appearance. On the bottle says in golden letters the text Chrisian Dior Tendre Poison. The spray is made of gold material and the cap of clear glass.
If you are thinking about buying this scent, I suggest you to first get a tester because this is a very strong and heavy perfume that certainly not everyone will like. As I said it is a heavy floral scent combined with a spicy mix. It has top notes of freesia and mandarin, a medium tone of orange and honey and a hint of vanilla and sandalwood. This shows once again that this is quite a strong smell. The smell seems to be a little sensual.
When you are spraying you should be careful that you do not spray too much because otherwise you're just a walking perfumery. I spray the perfume itself almost one hour before I go somewhere so that the mix of ingredients can come together and the smell is not overwhelming. One or two times spraying is enough for the whole day.
I think this is one of the highlights of Dior Dior. With this fragrance I consider myself a lot more confident and sexier. The smell last for a long time and I'm very happy. The only drawback is the fact that perfume is very expensive. Personally I find it really a must for every woman. Also people around me, I often receive compliments about the perfume I wear and that it contributes to my confidence. This is truly a timeless scent that I love to wear.
I never liked Poison. I could smell it a mile off and for some reason,
everyone in its heyday wore it and it gave me a headache. Tendre de poison is a milder version of the original - and whilst it still wouldn't be my favourite perfume, it is ok. And seeing as it is one of my mums favourites - its lucky that I can tolerate it.
When you first squirt it the smell does seem quite heavy and you do think
its going to be as strong as the original was. But this does settle and
becomes more subtle after just a few moments. It doesn't have the heavy, musky smell of Poison - instead it smells almost florally or has a hint of citrus fruits in. Apparently it's sweetened with vanilla honey, but I can't pick out any vanilla in it.
Its quite a mumsy scent - not the type of perfume you would buy for a
teenager (or even a thirty something) but for a grandparent or mum, I think they would appreciate it!
Made by Christian Dior, it is expectedly quite expensive. The average 50ml bottle costs about £37.00, but the bottle and packaging do look lovely so it would make a nice price.
Its much less offensive than Poison,a nd therefore I prefer it - but if
your expecting that abrasive poison smell .... You wont find it!
I have always been attracted to Poison by Chrstian Dior due to the beautiful purple bottle. Unfortunately I have always found the scent to be very overpowering so have never used it. Then they brought out Tendre Poison which is supposed to be a lighter, a guess you would say more Summery version of the original. I fell in love with the smell instantly and love the green bottle. The scent reminds me of a particular type of sweet that I used to enjoy as a child. They were called scented satins and had a flowery sweet taste. That is exactly how I would describe Tendre Poison. It is very floral but has sweet undertones. I think that it's most suited to daytime wear, particularly during the Summer. I always find that if I'm in a bad mood then wearing this fragrance will instantly lift me and make me feel better.

I?m a great believer in that you get what you pay for. My grandmother had a saying ?buy cheap, buy twice? which I?ve found to be true on more than one occasion! But, what does all this have to do about perfume you may ask? To many people, perfume is still regarded as a luxury item, and the price tag, especially on the High Street, puts many people off. I personally cannot do without perfume, and my favourite is Tendre Poison, by Christian Dior. I have tried may others, from Chanel to Givenchy, but I keep coming back to Christian Dior fragrances. Tendre Poison is, as its name suggests, a much lighter version of the 1980s classic, Poison. It is more wearable than the ?original? and is light enough for daily use. I am particularly pleased with the way it lasts ? I find I only need to apply it once during the day. There are a whole range of Tendre Poison items available, including body lotion and alcohol free mist, which is lighter for the summer. By using a number of the products I find that the fragrance ?builds up? and therefore lasts longer. I have two tips when buying perfume: 1. Shop around. Many of the supermarkets are discounting perfumes (even though the manufacturers don?t like it!) 2. Make sure that you try before you buy ? ideally apply some perfume and leave it on all day to see how the fragrance settles.
