Advantages: Light fragrance to spritz on the body.
Disadvantages: Too sweet.
I hardly ever go into the Body Shop. No particular reason except that I don't seem to get round to it. I have however had gifts bought for me from there and usually quite like them. My eldest daughter tends to either make me up a pretty basket in which she will choose different bits and pieces, such as a couple of miniature bottles of wine, chocolates and a perfume, or toiletries. I think about eighteen months or so ago part of my gift (can't remember if it was birthday or Christmas) was a very attractive gift box from the body shop.
I've always been the same. As a child I didn't like to open my Easter egg because it looked so pretty in the packaging. This body shop Casis Rose set came in a box of red and gold. I really didn't like to separate the contents. However, in the end I did because I knew I had to start using up some of my toiletries.
I enjoy receiving gift sets. I like the small sizes of perfumes, gels etc. These are ideal to take away on holiday. This I did, with the Body Shop's Casis Rose Body Mist.
I will say that it isn't the most wonderful fragrance that I've worn, but I thought it ideal for my holiday, as it is quite a light fragrance. As the name suggests, it is floral and a little on the sweet side. I used it a couple of times on my holiday but then found I wasn't as keen on the smell as I had thought I would be. This was mainly because for me the smell is too sweet and becomes a little sickly and annoying. The smell itself is okay but I think I would prefer it as a room air freshener spray rather than something that stays on me. I like my fragrances to be more interesting.
When first applied, I thought it quite powdery. It quickly became an unmistakeably true rose smell. I do like the smell of roses but not as a perfume, unless it is blended with other scents.
I found this became a nicer smell after about half an hour or so of wearing when it becomes more subtle. It still isn't something that I would bother buying.
STAYING POWER
I didn't think it lasted that long. I was prepared to put this in my handbag and reapply, thinking it would be refreshing but it wasn't. I think I would rather go without a scent than bother with this.
PRICE
As this was in a gift set given to me as a present, I'm not sure about the price, but I believe that it would sell separately for £7.00. Other body mist sprays from the Body Shop seem to be seven pounds in price. I don't really think it's worth that price because one would have to use a lot of it as it isn't that long lasting. I would as soon purchase a body spray such as impulse, getting more for my money and probably a nicer scent, or at least as good.
SUITABILITY
It's suitable for most ages and everyday use IF the aroma is liked. It probably is most suitable for those who don't often wear perfume but just want a hint of a light fragrance perhaps.

Summary: This is okay but not really to my liking.
