“ Brand: The Body Shop / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette „
I'm about to tell you a very sad story.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s, the Body Shop was in it's heyday; they were conjuring up little bottle of boutique fragrances - eau de toilettes and those little bottles of perfume oils - as of they were out of thin air. This was thanks to the genius of Mark Constantine, now the founder of Lush, and when he opened his first store in 1994, several products and fragrances became discontinued.
'Leap!' was one of them.
Now it's only possible to find 'Leap!' on Ebay, with sellers hawking the price up. What was £5 when I first bought it, back in 1994, is now an extremely rare and difficult product to find, and will set you back within the region of $50 - $90.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what the top, middle or base notes of this perfume are, except I can tell you that it smelt like a middle-ground between 'Oceanus', also of the Body Shop, and 'Heartfelt', another perfume I believe has been discontinued.
Should you locate any 'Leap!', please let me know ASAP!! I recall it smelt just like summer, with a fresh, breezy, semi-floral, semi-citrusy scent, and apparently it was Unisex (like Oceanus, see my review!)
The closest fragrance I've ever found to Leap! is some body soap from Yes To Cucumbers. But maybe I'm wrong...
This fragrance leap is from the Body Shop and perfect for summer. It is a nice light scent, smelling like a mixture of slightly floral, freshly cut grass and a bit woody. I'm not really sure how else to describe it, but if you're going past the Body Shop then go in and sample some! It is not a heavy scent and not sickly like something such as vanilla. It's also quite cheap, I think about £6.00 or so for 25 ml. The scent lasts ages and you don't need to put too much on, so it lasts quite a long time. Of course the other good thing about the Body Shop is that they are against testing on animals.
