I have a vast array of different scents in my perfume collection and I alternate between them regularly so as to not get bored of any one fragrance. The good thing is that I have so many that I do not find that I have to buy them regularly and instead rely on gifts to top it up. I received a 50ml bottle of the Love Etc fragrance by The Body Shop for Christmas so was happy to have a new fragrance for my collection.
The bottle comes in a white cardboard box with an attractive spiral of coloured hearts, as pictures above. The bottle is simple and made of a thick glass with bright pink lettering and a diffuser spray at the top. The perfume itself contains notes of jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. On spraying the perfume, I am immediately hit with a light floral fragrance which is quite summery and pleasant. I am not a fan of floral fragrances but this one is not too sweet or overpowering. It is actually a pretty subtle fragrance - if anything, a little too subtle for my liking as I don't see the point of 'barely there' fragrances. I apply directly to my neck and upper body as I do all scents but I find that this needs a good 2-3 more squirts than most other perfumes to achieve a level of scent that I am happy with.
I also find that the scent changes within about half an hour of applying and becomes a little more sickly sweet, however this does wear off quickly - I find that this fragrance lasts me no more than 3 hours before I would feel the need to reapply. Given that most perfumes would last me all day with fewer squirts, I find this quite disappointing. It means that a bottle of this lasts me a lot less time in comparison.
This perfume comes in three bottle sizes - 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. These are currently priced at £7, £9 (sale prices) and £25 on The Body Shop website. If you are looking to try this I would definitely recommend the smaller bottle or a tester style bottle as the fragrance will not be everyone. It is not one that I would purchase again (for me or a gift for others) as I am disappointed with how long this lasts and the fragrance is, whilst pleasant, not one of my favourites.
I have been a massive fan of products from the Body Shop ever since I was a little girl. I recently tried their "Love etc" body butter and absolutely loved how it left my skin feeling and smelling, so it was only natural that I decided to try the "Love etc" Eau de parfum.
The perfume is presented in a lovely white box with an array of colourful hearts displayed on the front. "The Body Shop Eau de Parfum" is written in gold lettering, "Love etc" is written underneath in bold pink capital letters. The actual bottle is glass and therefore see-through. It is quite plain but in a nice way, it is elegant and the pink lettering gives an added girlie look. The lid is gold and once removed reveals the spray nozzle.
Directions for use are not given on the bottle but the perfume is simply sprayed onto pulse points like the neck and wrists. The spray nozzle is of a very good quality amd gives a nice controlled spritz. Once applied the product dries quickly and I have had no bad reactions whilst using this product.
The perfume itself smells absolutely gorgeous and it is my favorite fragrance at the moment. It has notes of Jasmine, Sandalwood and Vanilla, these are all fragrances I love so its no surprise that I adore it as much as I do. It has a light floral smell to it but it is also slightly sweet too. I have been wearing this nearly everyday since I bought it, I would say it is particularly suitable for daytime use and not one I tend to use for nights out or special occasions. The fragrance lasts fairly well, but I do feel the need to reapply occasionally. I think this is a fragrance that would suit a wide variety of women.
The "Love etc" range has quickly become a favorite with me and I will continue to buy products in the range because I simply love the smell and feel that they are high quality products. I would certainly recommend this perfume and will be buying myself another bottle when this one runs out!
"Love etc" Eau de Parfum is available in most Body Shop Stores and also on their website (delivery charges apply).
30ml - £14.00
50ml - £18.00
100ml - £25.00

If you enjoy wearing perfume then you will find a really good selection of cheap fragrances at Body Shop that smell interesting and can often rival some of the more famous brand names in terms of quality. Love etc.. is a range by Body shop and they have a wide array of products. I was bought a small bottle of the perfume and a tub of their body butter as a present last year. Although I find the perfume much stronger in scent, they work really well together and I was sad when the body butter ran out. The perfume luckily lasted me a lot longer! I had a purse sized bottle of the EDP which measures 10ml and just like the name suggests, it fitted perfectly into my handbag.
==Price and availability==
The regular EDP in 100ml costs £25, the 50ml costs £18.00 and the 30ml costs £14.00. So going on these prices the 10ml bottle should be really cheap but alas it was not and they charged a little bit extra for the novelty value. The purse sized bottle is available on eBay for around £7 but I can not see it stocked on the Body Shop Website any longer; probably because despite it being a cute idea, it makes much better sense to buy the bigger sizes.
==Description and scent==
The purse sized bottle is slim with a gold lid. It has a good spray nozzle and a couple of sprays is enough to ignite your nostrils and give your body that finishing touch so you are ready to face the day. The scent works in perfect harmony with the body butter and makes the scent stronger and more layered. The scent is girly, soft and floral and perfect for work wear and daytime use. It is gentle and inviting and extremely pleasant to smell. The notes used are vanilla, jasmine and sandalwood. The vanilla is not overpowering and is subtle, it just adds a touch of creaminess to the scent. The rich wooded sandalwood smells refreshing and clean which complements the jasmine really well.
This is the perfect perfume for a summer's day, it is soft and gentle and I really enjoyed owning the perfume, so much so that it is certainly on my Christmas list this year. I find it good for work days as it is feminine and fresh but not too overpowering. At first the fragrance has spiced touch to it and it tickles my throat but it soon settles down to being a delicious subtle floral scent. Sometimes, this scent can be too subtle though and as soon as it dries it disappears and needs a fresh squirt to reignite it but this is something that I have come to expect from a Body shop perfume and for the price, you can afford to be quite liberal with it.
I love The Body Shop's range of cosmetics and skincare products but I had never tried any of their perfumes up until quite recently.
I bought a few of the Love etc solid perfumes last Christmas and fell in love with the fragrance and once they'd run out I decided to purchase the actual perfume. As well as the solid perfume and normal perfume versions of Love Etc it is also available as an eau de toilette, body wash and body lotion. The perfume is one of The Body Shop's best sellers and it is available in three different sized bottles - 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. I have the 100ml bottle and this retails at £25.00, which is a great price in my opinon.
The perfume comes in a simplistic, short and squat transparent glass bottle which has pink writing on the front saying The Body Shop Love Etc Eau De Parfum. The bottle is extremely basic and it doesn't stand out when it is on my dressing table amongst my other perfumes. It is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it isn't ugly either and I think that the shiny golden lid adds a nice touch and stops it from looking too bland. The bottle comes in a cardboard box which has a white and pink colourscheme along with a large swirl of lots of multi-coloured hearts. Like the bottle, the box is nothing special and I chucked mine in the bin.
The Body Shop describe this scent as 'irrisistible'. They state that it is a long lasting fragrance with a heart-stopping fusion of jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood notes. The top notes are pear, neroli and bergamot while middle notes consist of jasmine, heliotrope and lily of the valley. The base notes are vanilla, sandalwood and musk cream. From looking at the different notes, I wouldn't think that this would be my kind of fragrance as there's nothing in there that really stands out to me apart from the pear and vanilla. I'm a fan of unusual scents and this one sounds pretty bog standard. Despite this, I absolutely love it and this is one of my favourite fragrances.
I personally think that the scent is quite young, but then again I gave my Mum one of the Love etc solid perfumes and she really liked it. It's quite a delicate, feminine, light scent and it's very sweet with vanilla being the most prominent scent with warm and citrussy undertones. Personally I can not smell the pear - depite being citrussy it's not a fruity kind of fragrance and the jasmine is hard to detect which is a shame as I love the smell of jasmine. The subtle hint of sandalwood and musk stop this from smelling overpoweringly sweet and it gives it a little maturity.
The citrus adds just the right amount of sharpness and I find that the scent is ideal for day to day wear as it's not really a sensual or special kind of fragrance but it's still nice and it's really versatile. It makes me feel quite girly and flirty when I'm wearing it lol and it reminds me a little of the 'so...?' body sprays, but a slightly more mature perfume version. The lasting power isn't great - I'd say 2 to 3 hours on average but this is probably because I only use a few squirts each time that I apply it as although it's quite a light and delicate fragrance it could easily become overpowering if too much is applied.
Overall, this is an affordable and versatile fragrance which smells amazing. Recommended.
This is a lovely perfume.
I have both this version (the liquid version) and the solid version.
The perfume is stunning. I would describe it's scent as quite floral and musky. I think it's more of a casual scent rather than an evening scent. This is perhaps due to the fact that it smells quite summery and fresh. I wear this during the day to keep me smelling fresh. A few squirts of this perfume in the morning lasts all day. It sprays well and initially the lighter floral notes come through. I'm not very good at describing notes but i'm pretty sure there's vanilla in here as it does smell quite sweet at first. The sweetness of the scent is beautiful.
The middle notes are more floral with hints of jasmine and freesia. These middle notes are quite sexy and warm, they give the perfume a lovely feminine edge. The base (end) notes are musky notes, musk and sandalwood. The perfume then settles to more of a musky scent. This musky scent really does last. The staying power is excellent.
This is a lovely perfume. It's floral, it's sweet and it's girly. It can be layered with the body lotion and the solid perfume to make the perfume even more long lasting.
I would recommend this scent. It's usually £14 for the 30ml bottle. It is worth it.
My love of perfumes started with the Body Shop in my early teens when I used to buy their small bottles, which are much more affordable than the popular designer branded perfumes.
Body Shop perfumes have become much more mature over the years as they have branched out from mainly offering the more one-dimensional fruity perfumes and have now created some more developed and interesting scents. Love Etc is great example of this.
I first tried Love Etc when it was newly launched a couple of years ago and have repurchased two bottles of EDP since then.
Body Shop states that the perfume's notes are jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood. When you first spray it it has a definite floral scent, and the sweetness of the vanilla comes through. On my skin it takes longer for the sandalwood to develop. It is certainly not overpowering but is stronger than other Body Shop perfumes I have used in the past, and seems to have very good sillage and lasting power as I have been complimented on it and asked about it while wearing, sometimes a few hours after I sprayed it. Some reviewers have reported that the scent does not last very long on them and Body Shop does offer a lot of matching products to layer with the EDP if you do have that problem. They sell a body wash, lotion and options for topping up your perfume during the day, such as solid perfume or a small handbag sized spray. The length of time it lasts on you can depend on your own skin chemistry, as it does last well on me. I spray it onto my pulse points and a little bit into my hair.
The bottle comes in a white cardboard box with an attractive and eyecatching design of rainbow coloured lovehearts. This looks more modern and cooler than some of the Body Shop's usual perfumes. The bottle itself is quite short and stout, made of sturdy glass with a gold lid and the name in pink writing on the front. It looks nice, not cheap, and I am perfectly happy to display it on my dressing table.
Love Etc EDP retails at £14 for 30 ml or £18 for 50 ml. You can also buy it in gift sets with the matching body wash or lotion, and if you keep an eye on the Body Shop website they often have big reductions (e.g. recently 40% off everything). This means you can get a real bargain of Love etc and even at full price it is cheap, as I usually expect to pay £35 to £50 for a 50 ml bottle of perfume.
Love etc, is a really nice fragrance produced by the body shop who are known for their skincare products that are produced ethically. Love etc is a perfume that has a warm vanilla smell that is spiced up with terragon. Terragon gives it a nice kick. To me this perfume smells like popcorn !!
The bottle is very simple, plain clear glass with a brassy coloured id. The box is plain white with multi coloured hearts swirling around on it. I really like the design idea, I think it is simple but it really stands out on the shelf.
The scent is very pretty and flirty. It's great for teenage girls as it's not too heavy and its very subtle. The scent also lingers for quite a while.
You can get it for £14 which is a great price as it's not dirt cheap so you know come work has gone into it but it's not way too expensive. You can also get a solid form for £5. I think this is a really good perfume at a reasonable perfume and I really recommend it
The Body Shop quotes Love Etc... as 'our irresistible fragrance in a lasting eau de parfum: a heart-stopping fusion of jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood notes' (www.bodyshop.co.uk)
I love perfume but had found that most were beginning to smell alike. I ventured on a perfume journey finding artisan perfumers such as BPAL and Possets and such like.
I vowed I would never go back to commercial perfumes but stumbled upon Love Etc... by mistake. I was reading a glossy magazine and they had a sniffy pull back tab, I was curious as the packaging looked different for The Body Shop and it looked like it could have been young, fresh yet romantic.
I swiped my wrist over and was instantly hooked. I immediately went to The Body Shop website and ordered the 30ml which cost £14 but you can also get 50ml for £18. It arrived in around five days and I really found like this was 'me' it wasn't overpowering and I didn't feel like it could have only been worn say at night, work or during the day like some other fragrances.
They say that if you can really smell a perfume once you have applied it then it's not the perfume for you, apparently it means the notes within the perfume don't agree with your body chemistry, this however didn't over power me and I would get gorgeous hits of fragrance when I was taking off my cardigan or coat which was really lovely.
I since purchased the heart shaped solid perfume and the body butter. Both of these layers really well with the perfume and are full of fragrance themselves alone. My husband even now gives me back massages or foot massages without grumbling as he loves the scent of Love Etc...
This definitely makes you happy, I felt calm and grounded and confident when wearing this perfume. I was asked so many times what perfume I was wearing by both friends and strangers. I hope The Body Shop do not discontinue this as I would happily buy this every year. I have only just run out of the perfume which lasted me around seven months with daily use.
Seven months' worth of scent for £14 in my opinion is a real bargain.
Love Etc... Collection
The Love Etc... collection comes in various products so it can be layered. Layering gives the best lasting scent and also makes your perfume last longer.
You can purchase body wash, body butter, body lotion, gift sets, solid perfume in a cute heart shaped tin and 10ml perfume purse spray as well as the perfume in 30ml and 50ml.
Thank you for reading my review. x
The Body Shop is one of my favourite places to go to indulge in all things beauty orientated...as soon as I step through the door my eyes light up and when I go back out the same door suddenly my arm is weighted down with a bag and my bank account is a little poorer. But still, cosmetics and perfume rock from here! I first smelt Love Etc at one of the shops home parties and I instantly fell in love with it. There was no familiarisation with the smell and I still to this day cannot compare it to anything else. It became my favourite and unfortunately I have now ran out and need to get myself into town to buy some more.
To start of this is Love Etc, it comes on it's own or in a set with cream and something else. I buy it alone , 30ml is £14.00 and 50ml is £18.00. So compared with the likes of Armani this is seriously cheap and I prefer it over anything. The good things about this perfume are that it stays on you clothes throughout the day which is great because when people can smell it and compliment you, it really lifts up your mood! Also, the bottle is very colourful and fresh and this lets you in to the scent of the perfume which possesses hints of jasmine and vanilla. Perfect for any girly girl. However if you put too much on, it can be quite overpowering so be careful with the squirts! Don't want to gas anybody out! This may not be suitable for those who like a stronger perfume either because it is a little sickly and reminds me of a teenage sort of perfume!
Thanks for reading.
I bought this perfume last week when I was out on a shopping trip with my elderly mum and realised that she smelt much better than me! Not that I smelt particularly foul or anything - I'd done the deodorant stuff - but I'd rushed out without perfume and I always feel a bit 'undressed' unless I've had a squirt of something nice.
I was stood outside Body Shop at the time, so that seemed the obvious choice. I always enjoy browsing round their shops, and everything I have ever bought there has been high quality. Add to that their ethical sourcing and values, and it's a winner with me.
Having tried a few samples I decided on 'Love Etc....'. Body Shop sell this fragrance in various sizes, plus a range of matching toiletries (body butter, body wash, body lotion), and I chose the small 'purse spray' eau de parfum. This holds 10ml of perfume, and costs just £5. Although it would have been more slightly more economical to buy the 30 ml bottle for £15, this little one is a very handy size to keep in a handbag; plus it is just plain cute! It's shaped like a slightly over-sized lipstick, and is a glass tube with a pull on/off gold lid covering the usual press-down atomiser. The paper label on the bottle is lovely, with pink writing and multi-coloured hearts - very feminine and pretty.
*** The Scent***
'Love Etc...' is a very sweet, floral perfume. Body Shop describes it as "a heart-stopping fusion of jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood notes". Whilst I wouldn't particularly recognise the smell of jasmine, I can definitely pick up the vanilla in there, and I also think there is a hint of violet. Whilst it is sweet, it isn't sickly. It has just enough sharpness to prevent the sweetness being overpowering. However, considering it is an 'eau de parfum', rather than an 'eau de toilette', I don't find it lasts very long and needs to be re-applied every couple of hours. On the other hand it did only cost £5 so I really wouldn't expect the longevity of an expensive perfume.
***Who might wear this, and when?***
This is quite a 'girly' fragrance. It is very sweet, feminine and light, and I feel it would appeal to younger women. It has a carefree, youthful feel to it, and I think it makes an ideal light, daytime perfume. It would also suit a warm summer's evening, say out for a walk or sat outside a pub.
I do like this perfume, but I won't buy it again. I'm 52 years old and I feel it is just too young for me. To be honest, I think I may have combined a couple of samples on the same wrist, because it isn't what I thought I was buying! I will pass it on to my 18 year old daughter who has tried it and loves it. But whilst it isn't for me, I wholeheartedly recommend it for a younger, 'girly' woman who wants a light, happy fragrance.
Overall, a lovely, light-hearted fun fragrance for younger women and girls and an absolute bargain at £5
I really like the Body Shop products. Although I feel they can be copied in some other places products in my view the original is the best. Although the products are quite expensive I feel they are worth the money. The Body Shop is big on promoting that their products aren't tested on Animals and this has been a statement from them since I can remember.
I tried this Perfume about 4 months ago and this was the first time I tried it. Although I can buy the products online and the delivery is often free if you spend over £25 (which I tend to do as I stock up) I still prefer to go into the shop and buy there as at least you can see the new products and try before you buy.
I got the 30ml bottle of this for £9.80. This is pretty average cost for the Perfume in here, and many of the scents are sold in 30ml sizes.
The box is quite colourful. It is white but there is lots of bright colours on this. From the writing and the coloured dots on here. i would say 1 of the more nicer and certainly eye catching boxes out there. I still always throw the box away as soon as I open a Perfume, but it makes a difference to the plain looking boxes out there. The bottle is pretty simple, but it's alright. I would say that this looks simple and classic. Nothing fancy, just a clear glass bottle with the writing over the middle of it and a shiny gold lid on the top.
So how does this smell? It is nice. I looked online to see the description of this and it said "The Perfume of Love as a universal force, the first ever emotional led fragrance at the Body Shop. A highly addictive, warm and radiant fragrance which embodies the exuberance and personality of our brand. Ok , but it doesn't tell you about the smell of this.
It's hard to pick out the notes in this scent. It seems to be a mixture of a fresh airy scent with perhaps a tiny hint of perhaps Jasmine or a Musky scent with Vanilla in here, and a crisp Citrus scent as well. It all goes together well and it is a lingering fresh scent which will last for a good while. I can still smell the hint of this hours later, although a lot fainter, but it has good lastability.
A really nice Perfume and would make a good present for someone who likes fresh, airy, slightly fruity Perfumes.
I was never a huge fan of Body Shop fragrances when I was younger, so I tended to avoid them, and put off even smelling this one when it appeared at the beginning of this year.
I noticed it being advertised a lot, and it also came in a range with other Love Etc scented products, but I put it off until I received a free trial sample, and finally had a sniff, and from then on was hooked and its now my every day perfume, and even though I have tried others, I always end up back using my Love Etc.
The packaging is a very catchy design. The box is white, with Love Etc written in pink and the middle, with a swirled design in vibrant multicolours at the top. Very simple but very effective as it is pretty eyecatching.
The bottle itself is a squared shape, slightly smaller at the bottom than the top. with the Love Etc logo in the middle, and a gold lid. I have a 50ml bottle which I can carry in a larger handbag but it does take up some room, although it does come in a 30ml bottle which is probably better for carrying around.
Now, the Body Shop tells us this perfume has notes of - pear, bergamot, jasmine, lily of the valley, neroli, heliotrope, sandlewood, musk and vanilla.
I have never really had a noce for scents, I cant pick out individual scents from a perfume, but I like this scent because its fresh, 'young' and light. I really can pick up the hint of vanilla, although not so strong I smell like an ice cream!
The scent being light does make it good for everyday wear, a few spritz's in the morning and I'm good to go, although I do add more if I want to wear it on a night out.
The only let down with the scent is that it doesn't last for hours, and I always reapply by midday, but my 50ml bottle has lasted me for quite a while now, so it goes a long way.
A 50ml bottle is around £18, but always look out for the Body Shop offers!
I did a cosmetic and perfume swap with a lady on freecycle and got some nice goodies. There was a good few body shop products in the bag who I never thought I was a fan of until I got some Neroli Jasmine which is my current favourite perfume so I was excited to try out some others.
There was a half used bottle of Love Etc in the bag which to begin with I didn't even realise was from the Body shop as the bottle doesn't really look like one of their designs.
The bottle immediately appealed to me and it looks young and fresh in comparison to some of the other perfume designs at the body shop. It is quite simple being just a glass bottle with a gold lid but the bold pink writing on it really helps it stand out.
The perfume contains top notes of Pear, Neroli and Bergamot. Middle notes of Jasmine, Helitrope and Lily of the valley and base notes of Vanilla, Sandlewood and creamy musk.
When you spray it the first thing you smell is the fruity notes combined with the floral elements. It is hard to pick out any particular smells as it seems to be a mix of a few things.
Although Lily of the valley combined with musk may seem a little old this fragrance really comes across as a young smelling perfume. I actually couldn't smell any of the base notes or the lily and it just smelt really fruity with sweet flowers but the flower smell didn't make it seem twee in any way.
I tend to spray quite a bit of perfume and initially I was impressed with this and was pleased I had found another perfume to wear but the scent completely faded after literally an hour. Now I don't mean it faded and became subtle, I mean it dissapeared completely from my skin.
Body shop perfumes aren't known for their longevity but this is ridiculous even by their standards and although I actually like the smell it is not one I would even ocnsider buying myself because of this problem with it.
The 50ml bottle I have sells £16 which would be a bargain but because it literally fades to nothing within an hour it is a waste of money. You would need to be constantly reapplying and a bottle would be lucky to last a week so it's not something I could ever recommend which really is a shame as it is a lovely scent.
Last year, I received a bottle of the Love Etc Eau de Parfum from my husband as part of my gift for our anniversary. The bottle was 50ml in size and although I didn't get the other items, a 50ml eau de toilette, body wash, body butter and body moisturiser were also being sold at the same time, making up the full range which is great if you wanted to layer the scent up. The 30ml eau de parfum was enough for me though :)
My 30ml bottle is quite plain, being made of clear glass with a golden lid and hot pink lettering across the front of the bottle saying Love Etc... It's the outer packaging that's brighter, with a colourful pattern of swirling hearts sitting on a white box. In terms of appearance, the bottle is nice enough, it's not an amazing design but it doesn't look bad sat with my other perfumes on my dressing table.
After a few spritzes of this perfume on my wrists and neck, the most obvious scent to me is a very sweet vanilla fragrance which soon combines with a more exotic jasmine scent. It's sweet and feminine without being overly girly in my opinion, and it's not overly flowery either. There are also some lovely fruity notes coming through and a definite citrus aspect to the perfume, with neroli (orange scented), pear and bergamot (lemon scented) aspects coming through nicely.
After around 30 minutes, the perfume softens more and the woodier tones of sandalwood starts to come through. To my nose, the base notes of the perfume also smell slightly musky, but the other people I've let smell this don't always pick up on that note like I do, so maybe that's just how it reacts with me. From start to finish it's a warming, sweet and fruity delight.
This is a very nice smelling perfume, and the only downside for me is this fragrances' staying power. After 2-3 hours I can't really smell the scent on myself anymore, not without having to have an intense sniff of my wrists. On my clothes, where this has got onto them, the scent does last longer though. Despite being an eau de parfum, this is still not a very strong scent, and though really very nice in it's aroma, it could have done with being a lot stronger in order to last longer too.
At around £12 for a 50ml bottle of the Love Etc... eau de parfum, this is not bad value - similar to Avon price range for weaker eau de toilettes - and it will probably last you a similar length in time in terms of fragrance. If it could only last longer, it would get 5 stars! Reapply liberally for a longer lasting smell, or layer with other products in the range.
I was recently invited to a body shop party by a friend. I buy body shop items occasionally and probably will more often now that I can go to party's now and again!
The body shop for those that don't know - was originally set up by the late Anita Roddick, a human rights activist, back in the late 70's. From there the shops and brand have grown significantly, but thankfully seem to have maintained it's original ideals. No products are tested on animals, many items are frair and community trade and they often support themes like the current stop sex trafficking campaign.
So whilst at the body shop party, we had a raffle and I won a bottle of Love etc parfum!
The parfum comes in a white box with bright pink writing and multi coloured little love hearts. I have to admit it is not something I would have gone for as it is very girly in it's apperance, but as it was free I thought I try a squirt of the tested. If I didn't like it I could always give it as a present.
Inside the box the parfum comes in a clear glass bottle square like in shape which tapers towards the bottom. The lid is gold in colour (it doesn't fit that securly), which lifts off to reveal a standard gold coloured spray. You can see through the bottle the plastic spray tube which goes directly down into the parfum. I only mention this as some other perfums they bend at the bottom (this dosent) which meakes it more difficult to get the last bits out.
The spray comes out quite fast and gives a reasonable amount of spray at a time.
Not having read anything about the parfum I was expecting it to be girly - very sweet and really not my type of thing. However, I was very pleasently surprised. "A sensuous union of indulgent vanilla and sandalwood notes with luminous egyptian jasmine" according to the book.
It has got a fairly deep smell which I assume is the sandalwood. Considering this I would have expected the smell to linger longer, once sprayed it seems to disappear and I sruggle to smell it on myself. I thought maybe this was just me, however, my chap could hardly smell it either! I may try using it with the body lotion and see if that is stronger and lasting.
The smell is also quite fresh in that I felt clean and fresh, revived. It is a daytime fragrance which would probably suit most people, but I don't think it has enough strength to go into the night.
For a 30ml bottle it is £12, which I guess is a fair price and their is avaliable various other items in the range like body lotion and wash. Avaliable from the shop, online or at body shop party catalogues.
Review maybe posted on dooyoo and ciao under the same user name.
