Apparently, according to a scientist friend of mine, the scent of 'white musk' awakens some kind of prehistoric hormonal impulse in men; upon sensing it (not even consciously smelling it, that is), they become quickly aroused. For this reason, my friend continued, her mother refused to let her wear white musk - even something as tepid as shower gel - until she was 16 years old.

This perfume is SEXINESS in a pot. The top notes are musk, lily and ylang ylang (all very highly sensual ingredients). The middle notes are jasmine, lily and rose (all very feminine, floral notes) and the base notes are sweet vanilla, fresh amber, patchouli and vetiver.

My friend's mum was right all those years ago - this is very sensual, sexual smell - not quite a fun, floral scent, nor a straightforwadly classy fragrance. It's a little bit of everything in a bottle - and these bottles are so small they are ideal to carry around in your handbag, for 'just in case' situations.

As with all Body Shop fragrances, this is non-oily and fabulous for sensitive skin. And for £9 a go there's no excuse not to have one!
