Advantages: Smells divine
Disadvantages: can be very heady if too much is used
Angel is a very distinctive perfume. I have been wearing (among others) for about 5 years. The reason I first purchased it was because of the beautiful bottle. It is a solid cut glass five sided star shape, with a blue hue running through it, the spray end of the bottle is silver. It cannot stand up but lies beautifully like an ornament on your dressing table or (in my case) shelf. Angel is a perfume that is easy to detect, if somebody wears it you can distinguish it instantly. So then, what does it smell like? Well the company blurb describes the fragrance as; 'evoking the emotion of tender childhood memories together with a sense of dreamlike infinity. Angel, which launched a new fragrance category called the oriental gourmands, seduces us with angelic flavours found deep within the heart of our memories, as well as its sensual and passionate notes. The bottle is a faceted, diamond-like star, which seems to be carved from a blue sky' What? Doesn?t really say anything. It smells to me like chocolate dipped summer fruits, with a vase of oriental flowers thrown in for good luck. I know it sounds sickly, and it can be very heady if too much is used, but it really is a wonderful sweet fragrance. It lasts more or less all day. I usually put a small squirt on each of my wrists and on the back of my neck. If I am feeling particularly girly and wear it for work (instead of usual fruity, peppery work perfume) I can practically guarantee the someone will comment on it even at trhe end of the day. In fact, every time I wear it, people comment and ask what it is I am wearing. I will continue to buy the perfume as long as it is available. It costs around £30 for a small bottle, and a little goes a long way. Apparently, if you are lucky enough to have a 'registered supplier' in your area, you can buy refillable bottles and when you have run oput you can have it filled up. I believe this costs around 35 -
45% less that usual. So, take it from me, indulge your senses! Amanda
