This perfume holds a special place in my heart.
Fragrances are renound for triggering all kinds of emotions and feelings, both good and bad, and can be incredibly powerful in terms of memory and experience.

When I see and smell this perfume, I think of America and most specifically, my three months living and working there in the summer of 98!

The brand of Tommy Hilfiger is itself the epitome or should I say epi'tommy' of all things American. Tommy himself is most commonly known for his Jeans and fragrances. Within both brands he has captured a wonderful essence of USA and unashamedly so.

The Tommy logo on the white, crisp clean perfume box, is of course a red,white and blue flag like design - not too overtly stars and stripes as there are no stars just stripes, but you get the message.

Even the inside of the box has a cute stripe design - attention to detail just makes us feel spoilt when we purchase a brand name and gives it that 'edge' over its competitors.

The bottle has an usual triangular shape, with a silver top bearing its brand name once again.

The fragrance is fresh and sweet but not overly so and reminds me of cool summer evenings in connecticut, sat on the steps of our apartment block, sipping on cold bottles of beer after a hard days work.

It reminds me of open roads, girlie days at the beach and eveings at the 'movies' - its cliche I know but then anyone who has visited America knows that it hits all the cliche marks and then some.

The fragrance is quality because it lasts but is never overpowering and does not become 'sickly' in anyway.
Its perfectly light for day wear and is a must for the summer nights. Its neither offensive nor bland but strkies a happy medium of fresh, light but longlasting.

I would highly recommend it as a gift...to yourself!

And if you're planning a trip to the states, you have to buy it while you're there and bring a piece of America back home with you!
