Advantages: fresh, good value for money, attractive packaging
Disadvantages: -
I have always been a fan of the Tommy Girl fragrance. While coming back from my holidays in April since I had a long wait at the airport I decided to look around the duty free. If you had not spent money and were going away this is not a good idea because you will probably spend most of your money here. Luckily, for me I was returning home and so I had some extra money to spare on the beauty products but only one really caught my eye because I had never seen it before and this was the Limited Edition Tommy Girl Summer Cologne. The main reason I was instantly attracted to this bottle is for the same reason many are, the bottle. Unlike many perfumes this bottle does not go for the simple one colour. It radiates the summer just by looking at it the warm yellow, to red through to blue melting into eachother on the glass. With the classic tommy girl logo on the front in white stands out boldly on this beautiful background. It is like the warm golden sky fading into the colours from the sky to the blue sea. The lid is also a gold metal white is unusual and again attractive with Tommy Hilfiger carved into it. The bottle is also one with only three faces instead of being a regular shape. The box it comes in is thick card and it is like a watercolour painting because the design is and umbrella and a deck chair on a deserted beach with the waves rolling in and the sky a pale blue. The silver tommy girl logo also on this background with tommy hilfiger logo above and the perfume details. The interior of the box is a warm sunny yellow which hits you as you open the box to reveal the perfume bottle sitting inside. Now for the actual scent. The fragrance to me is a fresh smell sort of like one you would smell on a summer day it reminds me of fresh air but is quite light and I would recommend more for day wear. It s
tays on all day and the smell stays the same. It is not strong and is probably for the younger woman hence the name tommy girl. It is a smell which is unusual but also quite soapy. I would say if you are a Tommy Girl fan you will like this a lot but if not I would probably recommend you not to buy this. Now for where to buy it. This fragrance in my opinion is not easy to get hold of. In my city of Edinburgh I have never seen this anywhere but House of Fraser which had a few bottles. Maybe because it is limited edition it is also limited to certain shops for selling purposes. I did buy this in House of Fraser and it cost me £28 for 100ml which is very good for a bottle this big. I have checked everywhere and cannot find an online shop that sells this but phone up your local department store. Also your duty free at the airport I saw it at London Stansted but others will have it to.
