When I was presented with a Moschino gift set by my girlfriend, for my birthday last year, I was very pleased indeed. A man can never have enough aftershave and smellies, and really I rely on birthday and Christmas to keep my stocks up. I don't really ever remember buying my own aftershave, so certainly the festive season is a useful time for me.

I don't actually wear aftershave regularly, well at least I haven't done in the past, but since I had Moschino, I seem to be putting it on more often. I wasn't really aware of the make, I couldn't even pronounce it, sounds something like machine-o I guess, I've learnt since that it has something to do with Franco Moschino, who died in his forties, about 10 years ago... Anyway, it's made in Italy, and apparently they produce products for both men and women, and are considered a designer product, rather than a budget one. We are not just talking fragrances here, Moschino is a big fashion empire. Not that the name really ever bothers me, as long as it smells really good, and other people think so too, I'll put it on. It's described as "A fresh and zesty oriental fragrance with floral notes"..., and contains Amber, artemesia, cedarwood, cinnamon, coriander, cyclamen, hedione, kumquat, musk, rosewood, sage and wood. 79% Vol. I'm not admitting I can detect the presence of all these things (in fact I'm not sure what some of them should smell like), but the resultant combination certainly works effectively, and produces an attractive and pleasing smell, of which lasts for some hours. The fragrance has been around since 1998.

The aftershave Bottle design is a glass Hip flask style, with a silver cap, which has a question mark on the top, it comes in several sizes:

The front label simply shows the letters UOMO? and MOSCHINO, followed by Eau De Toilette, in metallic. There's nothing on the reverse, and just a label stuck to the bottom with the product code etc.

Goes on in the usual way, by pressing the spray button a few times, perhaps with more of a sting if you've just shaved. Course you can put this on whenever you want.

It obviously pays to shop around, as there is quite a variation in prices depending on where you get it from. Good advice is to search around the net for the best deal.

Then there's the giftset, UK prices range from - about £21.50 - £29.95. This Giftset contains 75ml Spray, 50ml bath & shower gel, 50ml After Shave Balm and a 25ml Deodorant stick. Comes in a black and white striped gift box with ""I am what I am?" written on it." The box is quite attractive, but doesn't smell like the contents do, so I'll not go into describing this any further.

So, it's a great fragrance, one that you'll like a lot, the females will definately like the smell of it too. It'll last a while, perhaps a couple of years for me, and it's not too expensive (especially if you put it on your father Christmas list).
