Anniversary is an eau de parfum by Vera Wang that was first released in 2010. ~ Bottle ~ It comes in a lovely glass bottle with an almost square shaped based with rounded edges. The bottle has, 'Vera Wang Anniversary' on the front in black lettering. There are angled sides that come down from the neck of the bottle that look, to me, like petal shapes. These sides are made from a dark purple coloured glass. The neck of the bottle is a silver colour and a clear plastic lid sits over the top of the spray dispenser. I like the bottle design, but it is not as nice as the similar Vera Wang eau de parfum, which I think is a nicer shape. It is an even simpler design than this bottle. ~ Price and availability ~ The 100ml eau de parfum is currently £36.50 from allbeauty.com. The recommended retail price is £75.00. It is also available in a 50ml bottle, which I have been unable to find online except for from www.freemans.com in a gift set along with the 100ml matching body lotion at a cost of £60.00. ~ Scent ~ The scent is floral and very pleasant. It has top notes of mandarin orange, Sicilian bergamot, apple leaf and water notes. The heart notes are orange blossom, gardenia and rose. The base notes are amber, musk, orris root and cedar. The bergamot is very vibrant when the perfume is first sprayed, but it seems to die down very quickly. I can detect a clean, crisp apple-like scent, but there is also a soft, floral element to it. The gardenia and rose are light and delicate. The fragrance has a definite green scent to it and as it wears on it is only the floral and green notes that I can detect. It is a rather soapy scent and it doesn't seem to develop any further. It is a nice scent, but it isn't my favourite. It is quite unique. I think this would be best suited to more mature women, but I think it may appeal to younger women as well. I think of this as more of a day time scent rather than one for nights out or special occasions. It doesn't have an expensive smell like the original Vera Wang eau de parfum does. Something that I haven't been too impressed with is the lasting power of this perfume. It lasts for around 4 hours on my skin before wearing off and I don't think other people would notice this perfume on me, even not long after it has been sprayed. I am glad that I didn't pay full price for this fragrance. I am glad to have it in my collection, but I don't think I will repurchase it when my current bottle runs out.
