My perfume want list was already pretty busy when I sniffed at a tester of Versace Vanitas perfume in Boots.
I had seen the bottle for sale online and I really liked the bottle so was interested to try this scent.
From the tester I thought it smelled really nice and it smelled expensive as well. It soon reached the top of my list and I bought it.
~ Bottle ~
The bottle is gorgeous. I got the 50ml eau de toilette.
It is a rectangular shaped bottle made from chunky glass, but the top left hand corner of the bottle is rounded and a metal mirrored material flows down the left hand side of the bottle from top of the bottle.
The words, 'VANITAS VERSACE' are printed on the front of the bottle in silver lettering.
The lid is also gorgeous it has a short cylinder to fit over the spray nozzle and then on top is a clear plastic rectangle, which is about a centimetre thick and on top is a silver mirrored material with the words, 'VANITAS VERSACE' on it. The lid is very rectangular and is chunky and when put together with the bottle it looks gorgeously cute.
The lid is so rectangular and thick I just want to bite it!

~ Scent ~
The scent is very pleasant. It is very woody, but it is not masculine.
The top notes are rose petals and freesia.
The heart notes are osmanthus and tiare flower.
The base notes are black tea and cedar wood.
I think it is a very woody scent, but I can detect a floral edge to it once it has dried down. It is lovely. It's like that new carpet smell, which I also adore.
It reminds me of my auntie's wedding for some reason. That was over 10 years ago and as far as I remember there were no new carpets there! It is not strong or in your face at all.
The manufacturer describes the scent as 'A luminous light scent, which evokes the delicate floral smell of white blossoms in the breeze. Fresh and sheer facets of rose petals and freesia. A young sensation of energy, refinement and elegance awakened from the tiare flower, with its luminosity and intense, voluptuous and sunny aroma. Innovative and vibrant accents of black tea and cedar wood express sensuality and elegance.'
It is a fresh scent and I think it smells expensive.
I think it is quite a versatile fragrance. It is suitable for both day time and night time wear and it is a scent that works all year round.
The fragrance is long lasting on my skin. I have found that I can still smell it after 8 hours.
~ Conclusion ~
I really like this fragrance. It is a light woody-floral. It smells expensive and is long lasting on my skin. I would recommend this fragrance and I would buy it again if mine ran out.
