Advantages: lovely bottle, reminds me of my youth, lasts a long time

Disadvantages: can be too overpowering, use sparingly

When I worked at Radio Rentals, we had a promotional few months where we were signing new customers up to ITV Digital.
Within that period I earned quite a lot of commission and with working across the road from Boots the Chemist, I thought I would treat myself to a new perfume.

Normally I buy Cool Water by Davidoff, but felt I wanted a change.
I asked the assistant if I could smell a few bottles, not really knowing which perfume to pick.
After a few sniffs, I eventually got onto Very valentino, by Valentino.
To be honest, I'm not in the know about designer perfumes, and hadn't heard of it before.
I liked it immediately, and after going through the rest of the bottles, just to make sure, I had another sniff and squirted some onto my neck.

The first impression I got of the fragrance was Palma Violet sweeties, that's if anybody is old enough to remember them.
They were the little purple swizzer type sweets.
I used to go to Devon and Cornwall and smell perfume made out of these, well that's what I thought when I was about 11years old.
Nowadays, things have drastically improved and Very Valentino reminds me of these but in a rather flash bottle.

I have a 30 ml/ 1 FL.OZ bottle, which I think cost me about £23.99. That's quite extravagant for me as I normally wait until somebody buys me perfume for my birthday or Xmas.
The bottle is very cute, almost square in shape, made of glass with a silver top. The lid is clear/white plastic.
It has made my dressing table look rather classy sat there looking posh.

I have found out what the proper ingredients are,

Bergamot,Mandarin,Lily of the Valley,Black Currant, Magnolia,Jasmine, Rose, Sandalwood and Vanilla.

There not a hint of Palma Violets in there.
How do they fit so many ingredients into such a small bottle.

I found the perfume to be more for nightime than during the day, it's not what I would norma
lly choose, but for some apparent reason, it choose me, I think.
Anybody liking a floral perfume would like this.
It's not too heavy, and it's not too light.

It did last all night when I went on my old works leaving party.
Most people commented on it to say how nice I smelt.

Thankyou Radio Rentals....
