Advantages: the scent!
Disadvantages: the price!
When I saw "Baby Doll" at the perfumery for the first time, I was rather sceptical: The hot-pink wrapping and the somewhat kitschy, pink-black-golden flacon – shaped like a spinning-top – let me guess that its scent would be powerful and obtrusive. Despite this first impression, I decided to spray my wrist for testing and was pleasantly surprised. The most outstanding ingredient of "Baby Doll" is grapefruit, mixed with other fruity scents like red currant, peach and rhubarb. It also contains the sweet-smelling oil of roses and freesias, balanced with a spicy hint – but only a hint – of ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and cedar. Together these ingredients create a really unique scent – many perfumes seem very similar to my nose, but the scent of "Baby Doll" is truly distinctive. The scent is light and fresh, but still unmistakenably feminine. Even though it is very sweet, it is never obtrusive or overpowering because of its lightness and fruity fragrance. I think "Baby Doll" is perfect for a young woman looking for a fragrance that is not sportive, but very feminine, without being 'heavy' or too prominent. You can wear it every day, not only on special occasions. The latter is something I would love to do as it absolutely is my favourite perfume – if there wasn't a catch: The price! I had to pay about £ 32 for a flacon of 50ml, so I prefer to use it rather sparingly. PS: If you can't get enough of this fragrance (like me), then let me recommend you the matching body lotion with particles of mother-of-pearl – it has the same enchanting scent and makes your skin sparkle and shine :) There is also a deodorant and shower mousse available.
