      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great fragrance with poor longevity

Yves Rocher Flowerparty Eau de Toilette

I received this 50ml eau de toilette as a free gift with purchase - from an online I placed months ago. This fragrance can still be purchased currently.

      - Product description (from Yves Rocher)

"To attract attention, be irresistible, to have it all! A cheery, feminine fragrance that sparkles with sassiness at every turn!."

      - About the fragrance and bottle

The fragrance comes in a cute bottle which is clear at the top and lid then it turns into a cherry red shade at the base of the bottle. The lid of the bottle is made out of clear plastic and it is shaped as a flower. Information about the fragrance is printed on the bottom of the bottle and the text on the bottle is clear and easy to read.

      - Notes

      Top notes: orange and mandarin

Heart/middle notes: rose, raspberry and lychee nectar

      Base notes: vanilla

      - Scent and longevity

I have been using this fragrance on and off since I received it in the summer and I really like it. I love floral fresh scent so this is perfect for me. The fragrance sprays out evenly fairly and the initial scent is a bit of hairspray and soft but fresh zesty citrus. The top notes are stated to be orange and mandarin and I can smell a citrus freshness I wouldn't have said orange if I didn't know what the notes were. The initial scent is really nice, fresh, sweet and very feminine and girly. After a couple of minutes the hairspray scent has gone completely and it replaced with a gorgeous floral scent with freshness! I love this scent is is so girly, summery and refreshing - perfect for spring/summer.

The fragrance lasts on my skin for about three to four hours maximum and it lasts on my clothing for about the same amount of time (maybe a tiny bit longer). The fragrance is just gorgeous and it doesn't change that much as it wears off, it just changes to become slightly musky but in my opinion the scent is basically the same - it just wears off quite quickly. Overall, I love the fragrance and I like the bottle (even if it does look a little bit cheap) but the poor longevity is what pulls this fragrance down for me. This fragrance smells really quite similar to Lancôme's Tresor Midnight Rose which also has poor longevity, so if you wanted the Lancôme fragrance but didn't want to pay Lancôme prices - then you could try this one at around £15-35.

      - Price and availability

I received this as a free gift with purchase (an email code I think) but it is currently priced at £12 on the Yves Rocher UK website for the 30ml bottle. The 50ml bottle is priced at £35 and there is also a shower gel and body lotion in the range too.

      Conclusions

      Positives

      *Bottle - cute and girly
      *Price, especially when on offer/sale
*Scent is just gorgeous - fresh, floral and sweet!

      Negatives

*Longevity is poor - it only lasts for about three to four hours on my skin/clothing

Thank you for reading my review
