We have been very happy with this fridge freezer for a couple of years at least. Easy to clean. Good storage capacity that takes even the occasional short term saucepan of left overs. Can't comment on the pure water aspect as we never got around to plumbing it in.
If anyone is reading this that has experienced our one and only problem with the fridge we'd love to hear from them if they would like to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org: The appliance has recently started to make increasingly loud gurgling noises when actively cooling. Nothing else is amiss. We presume it is something to do with the coolant but have not been able to find a service agent that can answer the question or deal with the problem. Any help or ideas or shared experiences would be most gratefully received. Congratulations to Hoover on a great product if we can just put our minds at rest with this gurgling problem.
i have recently purchased the hoover nextra fridge freezer it as
great refrigeration space with 3 movebale shelves that are easily cleaned, the freezer compartment as 3 draws however they are not very deep so fitting pizzas in becomes a problem. it also as a drinks dispencer on the front which makes this product look good however after just 8 weeks the plastic round the button that you press that dispences the water as started to split which is quite disappointing after a short period of time , i have not spoken to hoover yet about this problem but when i do i will let you know what they say. this product is not suitable for large families as the capacity is not that big. the advantage of it though it is so easy to clean, all the shelves and draws come out their is no little grooves for food to get in and the outside wipes down nice.the freezer as 4 stars and of course is frost free so you do get more room as you do not have to allow fro a build up of ice. the appliance cost 299.99
We have just purchased a Hoover FK 394PW fridge freezer. We were replacing a Philips which was nearly 20 years old. Chose this model because the PW stands for Pure water..get your filtered water from the door of the fridge. LOvely machine..had to leave it stand for 12 hours before connecting to let the gas settle. has menu on front door and has different settings...even tells you if you leave the door open. I found out after delivery that the water tank has to be connected to the mains water suppply..we had thought you merely filled up the tank manually. None of the ads.I saw mentioned this added complications..our plumber is now going to do this work..not sure yet how much it would cost. Wrote to Hover and told them that their site only made small mention of the need to contact the FF to the mains supply on their home page..the FF page i went to directly did not mention it..they were very non committal when I pointed this out to them. The Fridge is above the freezer..best place as you use it more often than the freezer and bending down would be a pain (literally) Plenty of room in the fridge..has two roomy crispers and a fold back shelf for bottles. Also very generous door storage. Freezer has transparent food containers, so you can see at a glance what each contains...I love the way food does not stick together in frost free models..lovely to get sliced bread out in separate slices easily. The Hoover looks good too..so all in all we are happy. Bought it from Empire Direct...£450.57, with delivery it cost £485 and we also get a free mountain bike for ordering before September. My dealings with Empire Direct were excellent..Adella Ali, the telephone saleswoman was very efficient and went out of her way to communicate with us. Well done Empire Direct and we are very satisfied with our new FF..except for the glitch over the Pure Water feature!!
We had managed for years with an old freezer and separate fridge. The freezer was so old that it needed de-icing every few weeks otherwise it got to the point where it was more ice that food. We decided to treat ourselves to a new fridge freezer just before Christmas. We visited Currys and bought a Hoover Frost Free Fridge/Freezer. The original asking price was £450.00. The sale price was £370.00 and Currys had a 10% off weekend, so we ended up paying £333.00. We also managed to talk the sales assistant into waving the £12.00 delivery charge. Sorry back to the point. The fridge/freezer is a Hoover HF40C frost-free model with a 12.cu ft capacity. It is wonderful. We never realised how poor our old appliances were until we acquired the new appliance. One thing I must say is that it takes some getting used to. If placing anything in the fridge of a fresh mature, i.e. salad stuff, then you must wrap it or place it in a sealed container. The cold air circulation quickly dehydrates the food if unprotected. That point aside the Hoover Frost Free Fridge Freezer is worth the money even at full asking price. However if like me you are always on the lookout for a bargain then shop around a little. A good buy.
