Advantages: Good price, can store under a worktop

Disadvantages: It's noisy and the build quality isn't as good as I'd like it to have been.

We built a new kitchen just over 3 years ago now and of course we installed a very large fridge/freezer. After a while we decided that we needed more freezer space as we do have our share of party's throughout the years and needed some extra freezer space. We didn't want anything too big, just something that we could pop into the garage and use occasionally. We saw the Hotpoint small freezer and thought that it would suffice

When it was delivered, we removed the packaging and put it into place and then turned it on. The first thing I thought to myself was that it was very loud, infact I've never heard anything as loud as this freezer. I was grateful that we hadn't installed it in our kitchen as the noise would have driven me around the bend very quickly. But as it's situated under a worktop in our garage the noise doesn't bother me at all.

As far as build quality goes, it is ok but seems a bit cheap. It's very basic and has three main drawers, which are deep, the middle one is the deepest and will easily cope with storing a medium sized turkey. I can store a capacity of 120 litres. It's energy rating is an impressive A and has a fast freeze facility. Over dimensions are: (w) 59.8cm (h) 85cm (d) 62cm

I've already broken two of the drawers as the front panels have split which I'm not impressed with. There is a dial temperature control and all the other function buttons can be located on the front of the freezer

Overall it suits are needs and it's only used on the odd occasion. Not sure how long this will last as manufacturers don't seem to build things that last in this day and age.

Purchased from Currys for £199 plus £20 delivery.

Summary: It's ok and works well, but I'm glad it's out in the garage!
