Advantages: cheap, cooks fast, does the job well, easy to use, long cord
Disadvantages: basket a little on the small size
I got this Argos value deep fat fryer as a present when I moved in with my boyfriend. I had never previously had a fryer and didn't think I would have much use for one, until I started using it. The length of the cord is decent and you don't have to be too restricted as to wheere you use the fryer. It is also small in size, however this makes it compact and sleek and most importantly, easy to store when it is not in use.
The tempreature settings are simple, a little LED light indicates when the fryer has reached the desired temperature. Also, the fryer comes with a list of instructions which tells you which setting each different type of food needs to be on and how long it needs to be cooked for, which is extremely helpful.
The only small downside is that the basket is a little small... however it is ideal for a couple or a family of 3. If its for a family of 4-5 I think it would be a little on the small size. However it cooks fast so if you didn't have enough space you could really get away with cooking a second helping. You need to replace the filter which costs a couple of quid now and again but I've had mine a year and never had to do this yet. Also as long as you clean the oil after each use, you don't need to change it very often as long as it isn't stood for too long. Definitely recommend.
Summary: good value for money for small family or couple
