Nothing like homemade chips....

Advantages: Good chips!
My favorite food has to be, homemade chips. As unhealthy as they are, they taste fab! I used to use and old pan, to make chips, however I decided that it was not very safe and I purchased this Breville fryer.
One thing that does matter to me is how this looks. Since decorating my kitchen I like everything to look good that is on show. This fryer is stainless steel with a brushed finish, which fits in so well. I looks very modern and I find it easy to clean on both inside and out.
Inside is an enamel bowl which is removable - this means I can clean the fryer whenever I like. I have even put the bowl in the dishwasher before.
The fryer holds 3 litres of oil which is more then enough if you are just frying chips. The oil temperature can vary, the highest being 190ºC
The use the fryer is very simple, one your oil is in the bowl you plug the fryer in, It turns on automatically (no on and off switch) Once the oil is at the temperature you have requested the light will switch on. You are then ready to put your desired food in for frying. The oil does not take long to heat up, I would say it is roughly 10 minutes. Your food will take hardly anytime at all, depending on how well cooked you like it!
Once your food is ready you must ensure you have turned the fryer off at the switch. You can then leave the oil to cool down. I like to clean and wash it out every couple of times I use it.
Overall this was a good buy, especially for piece of mind that it it safer than my old method of frying chips! It cost me £49.99 from my local supermarket and I am very pleased with it.
