Advantages: does chips nice, taste much better, gets nice and hot
Disadvantages: Unhealthy way of eating
I do love homemade chips they taste so much better then oven chips but i guess thats just my own personal opinion know there not healthy and we all know you should defiantly not deep fat fry your chips but once in awhile can't harm surely. I bought this one for my dad, even though i am the one that does the cooking in the house. We used to fry his chips just in a pan of boiling oil which I know isn't very safe as it does spit a lot of fat and many of times i would get a burn mark so I decided it would be better to get us a brevilleVDF034 fryer as we have used this make before and t has been very good.
It's made of stainless steel apart from some parts which is the top and the handles and back drop which are plastic, this one holds 3litres of oil which is quite a lot in my onion, and we always use it a few times before we change the oil. The oil does heat up quickly which is good as it does need to be really hot.
There is a red and green light on it which is to show when it is ready to use this is a good idea as then you know that the oil is at the right temperature. The chips do taste much better than they did before I have also done onion rings in it which turn out much better than when I have attempted them in a hot frying pan of oil this could be because they have more depth to cook in. it roughly takes about 15/20 minutes to cook chips, i bought mine new from amazon at £44.99. You can buy used ones but i thought new was best.
Summary: does what it says
