I bought 1 of the De'Longhi fryers a few years ago, before I even had faith in anything like this, and as I am not gadget minded, and usually have to ask somebody how to use things first, I found it a challenge (just to me) I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to use. I didnt need the guide book as it was simple and self explanatory. My fryer had its uses for practically everything that could be fried, so after a few years I decided to invest in yet ANOTHER one. This one uses half the oil that would have been used in some other fryers, hence a saving there alone. The little window on the lid is handy for seeing how golden your chips are becoming, without having to lift the lid. Perfect chips every time, and quick and easy to use. The filters are easy to fit also, and I also was able to use a cheaper version of the filters by buying it in a panel, and cutting it out. There is no "oil" smell in the kitchen, so my clothes dont have that greasy smell on them, and the drain hose is in a good position under the handle area, just be careful when cleaning the appliance, as the oil needs to be warm. Excellent buy, dont know what I did without it.
