Advantages: low fat
Disadvantages: non audible timer
The best small kitchen appliance I own- produces healthy chips, potato wedges with the smallest amount of oil. Produces a great chip style version without all the excess fat. Comes with a recipe book as well- can be used to cook other meals. Is easy to clean after use, disadvantage is that the timer is practically non- audible. Vary the cooking times to suit- choose between crispy, well-done chips/ wedges or just cooked with a soft texture- both are delicious.
Produces steam steam whilst cooking so I usually put it on in the utility room with the door and window open. Produces excellent results every time . Cooks about 800g at a time- so more than enough for a family of four. Allow twenty to thirty five minutes depending on number cooking for and how you like your chips. Gets s big thumbs up from all my fussy family! Perfcet results every time!
Summary: Great small kitchen appliance for all

- 18/10/09 I consider the outlay to be worthwhile- use it every week- cooking times can be less- depending on how many you are cooking for- I tend to ' fill it up' over the maximum line slightly . Display cooking time is easy to read.chips can be cooked in as little as 15 mins.
Recipe book contains loads of different meals-chicken with pineapple, madagascan beef, chili, sweet and sour chicken, apple wedges with cinnamon sugar. I have to say I only use it for chips and potato wedges though -uses only 14ml oil- I prefer olive oil.It is about just a little bigger than a slow cooker. |

- 18/10/09 Welcome to dooyoo!
A bit more info about the appliance would be really useful here - I'm actually thinking of getting one of these - I would like to know eg whether worth the outlay, how big it is, what the display is like, what else you can cook with it - that seems quite a long cooking time so I would need convincing that this is better than eg brushing with oil and cooking in oven, which is what I do now.
Any more experience or opinion you could add would be great. |
