dcmbarton Norwich Union
... have had a guaranteed investment bond with Norwich Union for nearly three years. It was organised efficiently and easily through my NatWest bank and financial adviser. The bond promised great returns, and this appeared to be the case when at one time it was up 9% or so on the original investment. The recent economic downturn has seen this diminish; at one time, it was back down 0%. That said, a few months on, it s back up to 5.8% which in my view is comparable to any savings account or ISA. There is lots of information on these types of pensions on their website. It also has lots of research from experienced brokers. Another great extra is th...

... builder advertises commission of just £1.50, this is misleading as it costs £11.95 to sell and purchasing costs £1.50 plus VAT on the commission. The £1.50 rate is supposed only to apply to regular subscriptions but it is possible to council investments at any time so you can get the low rate on a single purchase. The web site is easy to use and there is a live help desk where you can ask any questions without queuing for too long and without running up a huge phone bill. Halifax achieves low buying costs by lumping transactions together e.g. if you ask to buy 100 LLOY shares today when the price is 124 you will get them at a preset time in the future when the price...
