I am writing this review in response to the only other Deloitte review on this site so far, "Believe the Stereotype!!! (Deloitte & Touche)" - it has been rated not useful and basically has a major unexplained prejudice against the profession and doesn't really refer to Deloitte!!! I would appreciate if you would rate the usefulness of this review in your true opinion and feel free to leave any suitable comments. In keeping with the other review's focus, I will be considering employment at Deloitte rather than the service they offer to clients - mainly because I have been through their recruitment procedure and researched the firm but have never ... Deloitte and Touche are one of the biggest names in the accounting world, but, outside of this closed minded world who really cares? Do they have a reputation or a profile?? The reason for this plain and simple can be found in the sterotype that accountants are boring. In my humble experience this has become not so much a stereotype but a universal truth. What is it that attracts these sort of people to this sort of work? Is it the promise of a 9-5 existence for ever and a day? The promise of a carriage clock upon retirement, or is the sexually repressed atmosphere within the office when the secretaries walk through. At least these nerdish types aren't bothering us ...
