Casio FX 83 ES:
... also getting a more complex (and unfortunately a lot more expensive) graphical calculator as there will be some useful functions on these type of calculators (like solving quadratic equation and drawing out graph transformations etc.) that you cannot do on the Casio fx-83EX. But even now, at university, i still keep this calculator as it is so easy to use and has useful functions that you sometimes don t eve... Casio MX-8V ... a boring Book Keeper I feel it is appropriate for me to review my calculator. I have owned mine for about 4 years so I couldn t tell you exactly how much I paid for it but as I am considered tight , I know I would not have paid more than £6-7 for it. On a more helpful note, it can be purchased from Argos for £5.99. *The calculator and why I love it* This calculator is the ideal size to sit on the desk (approximately 11cm by 14cm) It isn t so big that it gets in the way and not so small that it gets lost under all the mess on my desk. It is a great design, with a slightly raised screen, so you don t have to lean over it to see the figures. The buttons are the... Read the full review: You wont go wrong with this by hannahbanna |

Casio FX 83 ES ... is a great calculator for GCSE and A-LEVEL (and also some degree courses). It does everything you need it to and it is exam regulation as well. The natural display is much better than the old fx -85s because fractions are laid out much better and other long mathematical arithmetic is easy to lay out and understand. The s <=> d function is a great way of changing between fractions and decimal numbers in the answer. The calculator will also display any answer that is an integer multiple of pie, with pie in the answer so the number is exact. Other great simple to use functions are the x to the x function, e to the x function and other log functions all work well... Casio FX 85 MS ... bought this calculator in year seven to start secondary school and it managed to do everything I needed it to do right through all seven years at school including doing maths and further maths at A-level and its still going string studying maths at university. It has lasted remarkably well for its age and all the more for the fact that it was left in the side pocket of a bag and dropped and kicked around all the time. It comes with a protective cover that slides of the front and can be put on the back to keep it safe while using it. It has done a brilliant job and the front is hardly even scratched. The back and the case are not looking new but by no means are they in... Read the full review: Everything you want from a calculator by Trengot |
