I bought this calculator when I was doing my maths GCSE and since then it has come with me through A Levels, and now I'm using it every day at University. As I'm doing a chemistry degree, we use these for calculations nearly every day and it's never let me down. The model I have has a solar panel and a battery, which gives me extra piece of mind incase the battery runs out or the sun goes in! A cover for the calculator is also provided which protects the front of the device, and also has a sticker with instructions on how to do a few different calculations.

The calculator has a large and clear display so you won't find yourself squinting to look at your calculations. An extremely useful feature is that you can scroll through your previous calculations to check what you've typed in case you've carried forward an error in the subsequent calculations. You can also use the circular navigation button at the top to scroll through the current calculation and change any numbers without having to clear the whole thing. This is incredibly useful if you've typed in a calculation with loads of brackets, for example.

As well as the standard Maths mode, this calculator also features a handy Stats mode. To be honest, I never really used this mode until University, but many questions for A Level biology and Chemistry require the use of Standard Deviation, which can be easily done on the calculator, rather than by hand. There are many different videos on YouTube giving walkthroughs on how to use the Stats mode on the calculator.

This calculator is perfect for every day use as the buttons are very clear to use and it works really well for just simple calculations. For around £10 you're getting a really solid product which is going to last you a long time.
