I recently moved into a new flat with my best friend and we spent some time going around all kinds of places looking for things to decorate and furnish it with. He came up with great ideas for furniture and appliances and I came up with brilliant novelty things we could make the place look tacky with.
The condiment guns were one of those items. Now, if you've never seen a condiment gun before you can still probably guess what they are. The concept and the design is pretty simple. The guns are made to look like six-shooters, old revolver type guns. You open them up, put a full bottom of condiment inside using the little bottle that comes with it. Simple as that, really. Pull the trigger and you get a mess everywhere the first time around. It seems you're not meant to press too hard on the trigger.
Obviously the guns serve absolutely not proper purpose except for the sake of fun. It occurred to me after we bought them actually that we use ketchup and mustard very little, and is now being used with salad dressing.
Whatever reason you use it, the condiment gun is a cool novelty item. It does what it says, but I can't help feeling that 8.95 (Amazon price) is a bit much for it. It's fun, admittedly, but for a couple of pieces of plastic does seem a little dear.
Either way it's a cool joke housewarming gift for friends just moved in as is pretty good fun.
