Advantages: cute designs
Disadvantages: look scruffy after wear and tear
As a sucker for a sweet tooth when I saw these for sale in a gadget shop I knew that I had to have them. I have keys that fit them and in fact I had a rubber cap for my keys before I lost them. They help you grip the key better so I was happy to buy them as they were a functional gift for myself as well as a fun one. They also help you to work out which key is which quickly and easily as the caps are all different colours.
=Price and availability==
The cost of the key tabs are £4.99 and they will make a lovely gift for someone. You can buy them currently on Amazon. You get six in the kit.
They say, "Sweeten your keys with these cute cupcakes. Don't get all keyed up! Get your life organised with these tasty cupcake keycaps. Six different sugary treats will make sorting your house key from your car key a delight. Deliciously distinctive, grab a half dozen cupcakes to sweeten up your day."
These are very cute and easy to fit. As long as you have a euro profile key then you will be able to use them. The rubber heads slot over your key and they look very pretty and girly. As I had six I wanted my boyfriend to have one too but he declined! He was not sure about them and thought they were too girlie.
I find the key heads make the key easier to hold when I insert it as the head offers a little extra grip. I like the designs as they have little faces made out of the cake decorations and add a little character to a simple key. These are definitely got to have items rather than need!
These do not last very well and the designs have got very dirty. I gave a couple to my mum and I put two on my key ring. The different colours means I can differentiate my back door key and my front really easily. As time has gone on, the colours are still there but they have dirty marks on, I guess caused from being thrown in my bag, banging on the steeling lock and general use. I would say that they look a little scruffy now but they still fit well and I still like them. I would buy some other tabs in the future as I really appreciate being able to work out which key is which. When the faces fade and the colours get tainted with dirt and dust then it does become quite hard to differentiate. I guess the good thing is that you get six key tabs this is more than enough as I only have 3 keys on my bunch. Back door, front door and mums. You could share a packet with a friend and this will reduce the overall cost. I just gave mine away! Overall I am glad I bought them and would buy them again.
Summary: cute key cakes
