The Culinare jar opener is one of those gadgets that you wouldn't imagine ever having a need for, or be of much use. It wasn't until I was looking for gadgets to help me in the kitchen as I was starting to struggle with various tasks, that I found this brilliant gadget that opens jars. No more trapping the lid in a door or prising it open in a vain attempt to get at the food inside.

It takes. 4 AA batteries, which last for ages. You simply put it onto the lid of the jar you wish to open, press the button and it clamps itself onto the jar and then the lid. It then exerts enough pressure to twist the lid off the jar and after it succeeds it releases itself from the jar.

I've used it on large pickle jars, jam jars and even the odd small jar, as this device can adjusts itself to whatever size you you wish to open. I have been amazed at how easily it opens the jars, and makes me wonder wy on earth I didn't get one before.

I would highly recommend this device to any one not only those who can't manage any longer to open their jars
