Advantages: Easy to set up, easy to use, works very well, no need to touch .

Disadvantages: A little expensive, needs 4 x AA batteries .

The Product
This is a plastic handwash dispenser that has a built in sensor meaning you can dispense soap to wash your hands with without having to touch anything on the dispenser.

How to set it up
This comes wrapped in moulded plastic so once you have battled your way through the packaging it's simple enough to insert 4 x AA batteries, rip the seal from the handwash, slot this in to place and you're ready to go. The back of the unit has an on/off switch and it's very simple to use, the whole thing takes just a minute or so to set up if you follow the instructions properly. When this is first turned on and when the batteries are changed you will get a red flashing light come on and once this has finished the system is ready to be used. Set up is very simple and almost anyone could work this out I'm sure!

How to use it
Once the unit has been set up and installed where you want it (kitchen or bathroom sink I'm sure) then it's very simple just to place your hands underneath the dispenser part and then it will give you a squirt of hand wash. When initially changing this liquid or using for the first time you'll end up waving your hands in front of it several times, worrying that it's broken, before you will receive your quota of hand wash. This is so simple to use and even my youngest nieces and nephews have got to grips with using this very fast.

Does it work?
In a word, yes. The dispenser is very simple to set up and easy to use. You don't have to touch the system, at all, to use it, except to change the batteries, change the hand wash or give it a clean.

Where to purchase it and how much?
The dispenser and one 250ml refill can be purchased, as a set, from Tesco stores and www.tesco.co.uk for £9.98. The 250ml refills can be purchased on their own, in cucumber and aloe vera scents for £2.96 and £2.99 respectively. This is obviously quite expensive for a 250ml hand wash but it carries the Dettol name, reassurance and is designed to fit straight in to the dispenser so there is no mucking around.

Overall opinion
I love this! It's very simple to use and took just a few minutes to set up and get in use. I love knowing that I can use my elbow to turn my taps on (thus avoiding the need to touch them either with my hands) and then I can just wave my hands underneath this dispenser and receive some hand wash. I love, in particular, the cucumber scent and have been very pleased with the quality of the hand wash. This is just so simple to use and it requires very minimal maintenance. I just wipe this over once or twice a week when I give my bathroom a full clean and I actually use Dettol wipes to ensure that the unit is kept looking clean and is hygienic.

While the price of this may seem a little bit expensive to come it's actually worth every penny. I seem to be constantly run down with coughs, colds and what not and I'm sure, in part, that this is because of other people around me who don't necessarily have a very high level of hygiene. Therefore, I will always do everything I can to ensure that my hands are protected and that I am staying germ free in any way possible. I'm thrilled with the quality of this hand wash and the product fits in nicely in my bathroom and I'm now considering getting one for by my kitchen sink also. I'm sure that come people will feel that this is an overpriced gadget but for me I love knowing that I am doing that little bit extra to ensure that bacteria and germs aren't spread around in the bathroom which is possibly one of the highest germ breeding grounds in the home, with the exception of the kitchen.

Summary: No need to touch this hand wash system!
