Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System
Advantages: Looks great, soap comes out quickly without touching, smells nice, kills 99.9% of germs,
Disadvantages: Refills cost £2.99
My children all need extra encouragement when it comes to hand washing especially my boys. I have in the past bought expensive fancy character hand washes so on my weekly shop i had spotted a reduced Dettol no touch hand wash system and thought it was a bit different and could work. Dettol no touch hand wash system cost £3.99 reduced normally cost £7.99 at full price.
Dettol no touch hand wash system can be purchased at most supermarkets and some drug stores.
Dettol no touch hand wash system comes in two different scents, green tea and ginger and cucumber splash. I purchased the green tea and ginger as i didn't fancy cucumber smelling hands.
Dettol no touch hand wash system comes in hard clear plastic wrapping and requires using scissors to open the packaging, once opened its in two parts the system and liquid soap. It does have some instructions on the packaging.
Dettol no touch hand wash system is a soap dispenser that has a sensor on it when putting your hands under and the soap will splodge out so it doesn't require you to touch the system. It reminds me of the posh public toilets they have similar systems. The system is white in colour and roughly measures around 14cm tall and 6cm wide. To use the system you have to put the batteries in first, it takes two AA batteries these come in the packaging already so no need to buy some. The batteries last for a good long time, around eight months for us.
Putting the liquid soap in is easy , it comes in a clear plastic bag and the hole is covered with a sticker removing this and following the instructions to place it inside the system. You need to make sure it is in right and click the back on properly as i had leaking soap the first time i tried due to me not reading the instructions correctly.
To use its simple just put you hands underneath where the soap is dispensed and a decent sized blob with come out and you can then wash your hands. The whole point is to stop germs and not touch the dispenser as you would pick up a bar of soap spreading germs to use , then rinse so the next person then picks up your germs etc. Dettol no touch hand wash system states it clears up to 99.9% of germs. To be honest the germ part for me on the no touch system is a gimmick to get you to buy it as i bought this for so it would encourage my children to actually wash their hands.
The liquid soap has a creamy texture and lathers nicely leaving hands clean and smelling fresh. The green tea and ginger scent is rather nice. So the system is easy to use and has come in handy for me. I have a coal fire and washing hands with coal dust means i used to have to touch everything to wash my hands this is now a thing of the past and no more dirty black coal covered soap.
For my children it has been very encouraging however i now have my suspicions that they have to much fun and over wash their hands by the amount of refills i have had to purchase. However this has been great in our household, still going strong a year later.
I recommend the Dettol no touch hand wash system.
