We have one of these in each of our bathrooms. They are very cheap at £5.99 and the soap solution smells really nice and fresh. I have noticed that there are a variety of different non touch systems on the market and our first one was a Supermarket home brand one. The Dettol system is by far and away superior to the other ones that we ...  Read the complete review

It seems that these days we've been bombarded by the idea of trying to be clean and free of bacteria / pathogens as much as possible. I have seen many adverts about anti-bacterial gel and other plethora of anti-bacterial products. I have seen this Dettol No-touch hand wash being advertised so many times before and I though it is a very ...  Read the complete review

When I signed up to this site I decided I wouldn't make reviews for things that already had loads of reviews but for this I think I can make an exception. I can't even remember how it happened but just before Christmas last year this funky little gadget showed up in my bathroom by my sink. In all honesty, it's not that I can't remember ...  Read the complete review

Now I see myself as having very hygienic hands, I was my hands many times a day and am constantly concious of bacteria however I do not really see the point in a no-touch hand dispenser. Even if the button for a traditional hand dispenser is full of bacteria, why wouldn't you want to touch it? You are going to be disinfecting your hands ...  Read the complete review

Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System: Now Wash Your Hands (578 words)
by - written on 22/11/12 (Very useful, 77 readings)
Rating:

In a bid to persuade a particularly awkward child to wash his hands, I decided to buy one of these automatic soap dispensers. I have always thought that they seemed pointless and incredibly gimmicky- who cares if the soap pump has germs on? You wash your hands AFTER you've dispensed the soap! So really, I bought this as a toy. Plain and ...  Read the complete review

My daughter came home the other day with a gift for me. It was a Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System and a bottle of Cucumber Splash soap to go in it. I was not that impressed at first but once I had tried it I found it really handy. She bought it on offer at Morrisons for £3 which is a real bargain, as they normally retail at around ...  Read the complete review

Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System: Nifty but expensive (609 words)

My partner bought this on a whim in the January sales in Waitrose for £7.99, I didn't have the heart to mention that it was available for £6.65 all of the time on Amazon. But I do think she bought a decent product here. The idea is that the No-Touch Hand Wash System allows you to dispense soap to your hands without putting ...  Read the complete review

Too anti-bacterial? (565 words)

Society today seems to be overwhelmed with cleanliness and this is something that companies are cashing in on. Why touch an 'unclean' soap pump to wash your hands when you can do it hands-free. For these reasons I'm still undecided on the benefits of this gadget. Growing up using a manual soap pump never caused me any harm, ...  Read the complete review

I have two small children who are always on the go and I want to ensure that they are washing their hands properly with the right amount of soap and that it is anti bacterial. Purchasing the Dettol No-touch Hand Wash System has really made me wonder. Don't you think we have been absolutely fine dispensing soap from a pump all this time, rather than leaving the job to a machine? I have to admit though, the way it was marketed really caught my attention. Yes, I admit it, after watching the advert and walking ...  Read the complete review

~ Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System ~ I bought this quite some time ago now after seeing the advertisements on the telly. I wasn't initially drawn to it if I'm honest as I didn't really see the need for one, but after seeing them for the cheap price of £2 (not sure where, but could have been in Asda?) I decided to get ...  Read the complete review

I had seen these around for a while but refused to pay full price. Then when they initially came on offer they flew off the shelves. I just couldn't find one. Then they came on offer again, and i managed to get one. I loved it at first, but now tend to forget its there on a day to day basis, and instead just reach for the washing up ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Dettol No-Touch Hand Wash System
by Jonh - written on 25/04/12
Rating:

This is a waste of money in the first place! Why does it matter if there are some germs on a soap dispenser when the first thing we do after touching it is wash our hands? We don't touch it again after washing our hands do we?We have been doing just fine for decades with normal hand dispensers and soap - so what changed recently which makes us need hands free soap dispensers in the home?!Costly for us and the environment!! Just a marketing ploy that everyone falls for!

My family got one of these a while ago and I didn't really understand the point as we'd been surviving with traditional squirting hand wash bottles for a long time without becoming infected with germs although I imagine that is what they said when the made the leap from a bar of soap to gel hand-wash. I also didn't understand the logic ...  Read the complete review

I decided to buy this from tesco a few months back, it came with a cucumber hand soap. You can buy a giner one too. The only reason I bought it was because it was on offer and I saw it on a tele advert and thought it was worth a try! I'm glad I did, but wish it was a bit better.
