Working in an office with no air conditioning, we were given the opportunity to trial these for a few days to measure their efficiency in relation to normal fans. In summary, the Dyson is not worth the extortionate cost you pay for one relative to the cost of a normal more traditional fan. The Dyson works through sucking air in through a turbine and then expelling it through a tiny slit in the outer casing of the fan.
