Originating from New Zealand where apparently half the homes in the entire country now have one of these babies, we are now lucky enough to be able to get our hands on it too and we owe our thanks to a gentleman called Len Light (just as well his first name wasn't Sun or Moon) who invented this and started production in the garage of his New Zealand home. I must admit to being quite keen on the odd yoghurt or three and have been buying quite a lot of the stuff of late in the hopes of becoming more healthy. As I've been consuming so much I considered some sort of means of producing them at home. A few friends in years gone by have had yoghurt makers which ... Read the complete review

My mother gave me one of these for Christmas. I don't think I would have bought one for myself . If anyone but my mother had given it to me I probably would have off loaded it to the nearest charity shop - but I knew my mother would be keeping a good eye out for it !! When I was a student I had a yoghurt maker which was 6 small cups and plugged in. I think you must have had to use starter yoghurt. I used it about twice and threw it away - it was dreadful. The EasiYo , on the other hand , really couldn't be easier. It is , essentially , a big thermos flask. So , to make yoghurt you put the kettle onto boil. Open a packet of easiyo mix ( greek ... I seemed to be eating an awful lot of yogurt so thought I would buy a yogurt maker rather than try to mess about with heating milk and leaving it in a flask over night like I used to-which never worked. I bought the Easiyo from Lakeland as there doesn't seem to be much of a price difference wherever you go and I have one next to where I work. After reading the instructions it seems fairly foolproof. I first fill the white plastic outer jar with boiling water up to the level indicated. Second step in the process is to use the supplied plastic screw top jar and put the packet of yogurt mix in it. You then mix it with cold water, give it a ... Read the complete review

After going to our local garden centre and seeing the easiyo starter kits we thought we would have a look on the internet to see if there were any bargains. After finding the kit on Lakeland we bought the Yogurt maker and a pack of 6 Bio-Natural Mix yogurts. My mum use to have a yogurt maker when I was younger which had 6 little cups that you put in a unit and the cups got warm, but it never made yogurt it just turned out like thick milk so we were a bit sceptical about this maker, however it has been briliant. So far we have gone through 5 of the 6 packets and have been impressed by each one, we always keep 4 tablespoons worth at the end so we can ... Read the complete review

I purchased my EasiYo yogurt maker over 10 years ago in New Zealand. They've been using these in Australia and New Zealand for ages. In fact, I believe they were invented in New Zealand. Anyway, I was living there for a while (in New Zealand) and couldn't help but notice lots of people using these yogurt makers. Additionally, large acreage of the all the supermarket shelves were given over to all the paraphernalia that goes with them. This included all the yogurt bases, ice cream mixes, fruit sauces to mix in with the yogurt, small lunch taker pots as well as the yogurt makers themselves. So I bought one for myself and brought it back to England, ... Read the complete review
