==Farringdon Cooling Rack==


I love to do a lot of baking and when I make cakes I tend to make a good few at the same time which is why I finally caved in and bought a second cooling rack for my already bulging kitchen cupboards. My first cooling rack would only hold a half a dozen or so rock cakes and almost always I would make double and have to pile them on top of each other.

This Farringdon Cooling rack is a nice size at 40 by 25 cm and I purchased it from a local store which sells everything and anything at fairly reasonable prices. I paid £2.99p for this cooling rack which seems to be a far better price than what you would expect to pay when purchasing it online on Amazon.

The rectangle rack itself is fairly lightweight but is up to the job of holding a lot of cakes at any one time. I usually just give it a little wash in warm soapy water in the washing up bowl but if the dishwasher is going on then I have popped it in there before and it has not seemed to suffer at all from this.

It is made of a lightweight stainless steel material which means that it is hard wearing and although I do make sure I dry it off very well after washing it up or getting out of the dishwasher it hasn't rusted and still looks as good as the day I bought it.

The other half has used it in the oven before to cook a lamb chop to keep it raised off the tray and although I wouldn't have allowed this had I been present at the time of him doing this, again the cooling rack seemed to hold up well and although it needed much more of a clean than it usually did, it didn't seem to mind the weight of the meat or indeed the temperature of the oven.

Overall I can't really fault this cooling rack on any aspects of its use. I paid a really descent price for it and it is surely going to last a long time if I keep looking after it like I am doing. I think it is a top scoring product and worthy of a 5 out 5 star rating and a very high recommendation!
