The Fisher Space Pen is said to be the best pen on earth. It is capable of writing in any conditions - even the extreme. It can write in zero gravity (on your daily trip to the moon), upside down, underwater, on wet paper and in boiling/freezing temperatures (not like you will be writing in a blast furnace). By the slight sarcasm, I am saying this pen is a bit pointless in some situations (such as being able to write in zero gravity) as it's not everyday that we go to the moon.

On the other hand, it is an excellent quality pen, which is durable and does write pretty well. The one I picked up was just over £20 and came with a black ink cartridge. After some testing, I found it does write in some unusual circumstances. It does write upside down and even on damp paper. I also tried it on a variety of surfaces and after a bit of scratching, it began to write.

The pen is silver and very small and compact. It has a shiny surface and looks sleek and modern. The lid slides off the top, and is shaped to fit on the pen without sticking out to maintain a smooth shape. There are small ridges where you hold the pen for extra grip but it does get harder to grip when your hand sweats as the grip is metal (not rubber). However, it is a very durable and strong pen. The ink cartridges are widely available to buy in London at places like Selfridges (along with the pen). I would recommend you try one out and see how you like it.
