Advantages: Good idea
Disadvantages: No good in practice
Now I am sure we have all lost our keys from time to time and it is really annoying as it is usually when you are in a rush to get out the house so the solution to this or so I thought was to buy a key finder. They cost around £2.
The key finder is like a flat fob with a coloured piece on the end. The idea is you attach to your keys and when you have that 'Oh no where are my keys I must leave the house now' moment you simply whistle and the fob will bleep and flash meaning you can locate your keys and get out the door in no time. Great idea, time saving simple or so would you think.
Now the down point I am not very good at whistling to start with I know I should have thought about before buying this genius product. Which actually meant that the key finder wouldn't work for me so if I was in a hurry and I was not with whistling person I couldn't find them other than manically searching anyway. The second down point is although it wouldn't go off for my poor attempt at whistle it would go off for the tv, or the radio, or the hamster wheel going round. It would go off in the car and sometimes when there didn't seem to be any noise at all. The result of this - I put it in the bin it drove me mad beeping when I didn't need it to but never working when I did.
I give this 1 star because that's the lowest you can go. Great idea in theory but annoying make that very annoying in practice. Save yourself the money and put your keys in the same place everytime you come in, mine now get left right by the front door so I know where they are when I am ready to go.
Summary: Save your money
