Advantages: lights up well
Disadvantages: ?
This little light of mine
I have a flexi light by the side of the bed, well its on my husbands side really. He uses it to read by when I want the main light of and try to get to sleep.
He finds a standard bedside lamp not bright enough. This flexi light is basically a bulb attached to the end of a stiff coiled wire that is encased in plastic.
Some flexi lamps have a more rigid straight wire with flexible heads.
At the other end to the bulb is a clip that can be attached to an edge of any furniture, bedside cabinet in our case. I find the clip on our flexi light not all that good it does often get dislodged. I think thats because it is on a small clamp I have seen some with larger clamps they would probably fit better.
Our flexi light has a mains plug but a lot of smaller flexi lights have batteries this makes them good for taking in the car to read the map.
A flexi light is good as it can be bent to any angle so you can see. Its ideal for doing any close work or working in dark corners. Ours has a strong bulb so illuminates well. to well for me when I am trying to sleep.
There are several different suppliers of flexi lights we bought ours in John Lewis. I think it cost about £35.00. I f you search the Internet there is a range of flexi lights small ones and larger ones ranging from £8 upwards.
I f you want a light that is flexible and you can direct anywhere I would recommend a flexi light. Thank you for reading Mary

- 14/06/05 Sounds a great light, ideal for my eldest son on the top bunk bed!

- 14/06/05 I bought a really cheap version in QD for under two quid - a total waste of money as the bulb blew in a couple of days! Even at 35 quid it seems a good investment - I'll have to pop along to John Lewis and have a look as I love reading in bed but don't usually as I don't want to wake my poor fella
