My flexi friend
Member Name: January
Advantages: handy gadget
Disadvantages: none I can think of
I've had my flexi light for about a year and a half now and it's been very handy to have for reading at night and for waking up in the early hours and putting it on to see the time. I don't usually sleep as good as I did when I was younger and the light switch in my room is over by the door far from my bed, so this little flexi light gets used a lot, just so I don't bump into anything on the way to the door.
I paid £5.99 from a bargain bin in an electrical store in Hereford and thought that for that price it was a good deal. You can also buy them online if you search on Amazon.
The one I have takes 4 AAA batteries but you can also get the flexi lights that have a USB connection for plugging into your laptop if your browsing the net or playing games online as I often do at night in bed instead of reading.
The one I have comes with a base that supports it or you can clip it onto something and use it. The length of the flexi light bends in all ways so that you can angle it at whatever you want like over a book or just into the room as a little light, it's adequate lighting to read by and much safer than reading by candle light if you don't want the main bedroom light on whilst your relaxing.
The batteries last quite a while and I think mine last well over six months but I didn't use it every night to read I use it just if I wake up and it's dark in my room, so I couldn't judge for definate how long they would last, as it also depends on what kind of baterries you buy.
If your looking for a handy gadget then this one is novel, a simple desisn and useful tool for reading at night.
I'm happy to recommend it you you as mine has proved useful and durable in the time I have owned it.
