I actually bought this torch one night in a petrol station for a couple of pound. The only torch they had and in the emergency I needed it for I didn't read the instructions. I was off to rescue some kittens in the middle of nowhere in pitch black.

So when I got into my car and reading the instructions I realised it didn't need batteries and I would need to shake it to get it to work!! How this works I couldn't even begin to tell you. So shaking for a couple of minutes I decided to see how bright it was, to be honest I didn't expect anything fantastic but I was pleasantly surprised, the light is very bright and definately good enough to find little black kittens. It only took me 5 minutes to find all 5 and their mum. Very happy.

The packaging also states that you will never need to replace any part of the torch. So for this reason the torch is definately excellent value for money. It is light to carry and not too big so will fit in a jacket pocket or a handbag. Everyone should have one of these so you don't get caught out anytime even leave it in your car because if you're like me and you think you have a torch then realise the batteries have run out when you really need it like when your car breaks down.
