      very handy gadget

While christmas shopping last year, I visited our local Hawkins Bazaar shop. They had a huge range of small stocking fillers on sale, I get carried away in that shop as there is so many funky gadgets to buy. I bought myself and my husband a card light.

It cost around £1.50 in the sale and the original price was £2.00, if you are not lucky enough to have a Hawkins Bazaar shop near you they have a fantastic website. I often receive sales catalogues through the post from them and have also found them to be quick at posting on-line orders.

The card light is the size of a bank card and just as thin but thickens out at one end, at the end of the card has a very small light bulb which Is a led light. The one I bought differs from the dooyoo picture at the top of the page. The card light I bought is red in colour and is made of plastic.

It is easy to use as it has a power on button built into the card, you press the button for the light to come on or if you want the light to stay on for a period of time hands free you have to press and slide the button. For such as small light it is strong enough for me to see my way about in pitch black, the light shines a good few meters on front of me as well so has a good range. Its a bright glow of yellow light and is not to blinding.

I find it has came in handy especially now that it is darker early at night, I use it when walking from my work to my car at night and its good for giving plenty of light when I am trying to unlock my car doors. I have used it in power cuts until I find my household torch.

It would make a great stocking filler for any gadget lover, its practical and very well made and durable. It would come in handy for lots of uses. Its very cheap to buy and I store it in my wallet along with my bank cards. I have used it quite alot and find it still lights up just as bright and there is no signs of the power fading yet, if it gets grubby in my wallet i give it a wipe with a damp cloth and it looks as good as new again.
