JML Bobble Off....

Now I always remember my Mum having one of these clothes de-bobbling devices and often though how great they were. I have been looking for one for quite a while now because I have this rather lovely jumper that has got a bad case of bobbleitis!

Luckily, as I was clearing the shelves of anything remotely good in my local Woolworth's (RIP) I came across a JML bobble off with a good discount of 40% off. It cost me a little bit over £2 but I think its original price was around £4.99pence. This is a good buy considering how much I plan to use it.

The machine itself is bigger than the one my mum used to have but the principle is just the same. It is fairly cheap looking and rather chunky plastic that doesn't look like it will last the years that mum's one has. However the idea of the bobble of is that it will remove pieces of lint from clothing where you can literally see bobbles forming. There is a couple of hidden blades housed behind a mesh cover that spin around when the machine is turned on and these remove the lint without hacking up the item of clothing.

There is a large clear plastic storage unit where the bobbles that have been taken off stay until the time comes when you want to throw them in the rubbish. The mesh cover has a rather large area and can de-bobble at an alarming rate.

My jumper was rather bobbly but the JML Bobble off did its job and after quite a while of me going back and forth over the material I had a jumper that looked relatively new or at least didn't look like I had found it in a skip.

The JML bobble off is a reasonable price even at its RRP and does do the job needed of it. It may look a big cheap and as if its not built to last but I think for the price I cannot complain.

Four Star rating and a RECOMMENDATION if you need this sort of thing them JML are the ones to go to!

Summary: a good item if you need it

I think we all can get into a mentality where we think everything is disposable as we can just pick up another shirt from Primark for £3 if this one falls apart, etc. The bobble off is great as it encourages us to look after our clothes more and make the best of what we have already!

I was eyeing these up in our Woolworth's closing down sale too but thought they are a bit of a gimmick and didn't bother in the end.
