Advantages: Refurbishes fabrics

Disadvantages: Batteries!

I have had a couple of these 'bobble shavers' over the years and they have always stopped working, or failed to do the job properly. Once such machine actually got fibres from a jumper tangled in those little whirring shave heads and rendered the garment totally unfit to wear.

I did like the idea of them though, so when I saw them available on the JML website I decided to get one. JML is a brand that I trust and I have rarely been disappointed by the quality of their merchandise, although they do tend to be a bit on the expensive side.

This little bobble shaver cost me £5.99 which is not bad. It looked fairly solid and was a better shape to handle than the previous cheap ones I had bought.

First of all I had to find 2xAA batteries to try it out.

My first test was on a pair of trousers that had become bobbly where the legs rub together at the top. It took a couple of minutes to remove the bits but the result was excellent.

I also tried it on a jumper that I like and have worn a lot. It has gone bobbly on the underside of the sleeves where I constantly rub it on the desk as I type. The JML Bobble Off made a great job of this too.

The blades inside the 'shaver' are protected so that they can't cut the fabric as they rotate. Lint, bobbles and fuzzy bits can all be shaved off, giving garments a fresh lease of life.

I have also used mine on chair which had a few bobbles on the fabric at the front of the seat. It looks fine again.

During the winter I use a door curtain between my dining room and loungs and my dog constantly wriggles underneath it. It tend to go fuzzy and bobbly at the hem and this little machine solved that problem too.

At £5.99 this is well worth buying as it is simple to use and can give garments and fabrics in the home a new lease of life.

Summary: Useful for prolonging the life of clothing and fabrics.

I bought one of these and have, so far been very happy with the results, unlike the tiny cheapy I bought from Betterware.

Good review here although you could add if it is noisy in use, lightweight and if any carry case comes with it.

Adding info isn't compulsory but it would boost your review here. : )
