This product was bought for my gran as she has arthritis in her hands, after a bit of searching I thought this would be perfect for her but i was wrong.
The build of this was good and sturdy, really well designed with a bottle opener at the front just under the can opener lever, with the knife sharpener in the back, the can opener lever is easy too take on and off for cleaning purposes, a bit too easy as knocking it of is extremely easy too do.
Taking it out of the box plug it in put the lever in place and your ready to go simple as that, first I tried the can opener as this is the main use of this product, just put a can upto the little peg that sticks out and push the lever down it couldn't be easier, there is no need to hold the can as it is held firmly in place until you lift the lever and remove it, There is a lid retaining magnet unfortunately its about 50/50, half the time it works half the time it falls into the tin but this is no big deal.
The bottle opener is just a basicaly stuck on the front, to use this feature simply put one hand on top of the product, slide the bottle in and push down not much can go wrong there.
The knife sharpener is contained in the back with two slots for putting the knifes in this is for both sides of the knife without having to turn the machine around, to use this simply push the can opening lever down and hold this will rotate the grinders, gently put the knife in at the handle end and pull along slowly until the tip has been sharpened great results every time.
Although I found it easy to use and opened cans with absolutely no problem every time my gran could not open one watching her do it I still cant figure out why.
