Every year we do a secrate santa at work for christmas and agree to pull a name each from a hat and spend £10 max on a gift for that person. Last year my secrate santa got me the Kitchen craft chocolate fondue set a lovely gift and a nice surprise. I eat a fair emount of chocolate, its a luxuary i endulge in so this cute gift is well suited to me.
I have no idea where exactly my secrate santa purchased the Kitchen craft chocolate fondue set from but doing a little research you can purchase it from Amazon uk for £8.99.

Kitchen craft chocolate fondue set comes in a cardboard box with a large picture of the item on the front, the box also states its a chocolate fondue set made by Kitchen craft, also pictures of yummy strawberys half coated in chocolate. Inside the box is the fondue plate, 4 forks and a set of instructions but they are not really needed. The instructions did give a small warning and hints about fire safety.

Kitchen craft chocolate fondue set is plain white in colour and made from ceramic. The design of the fondue set reminds me of an oil burner, it has a bowl for melting the chocolate in and this sits on the pillar where the candle sits inside. There is a opening to the pillar part for putting the lid tea light candle in. The fondue set is not big measuring around 22 cm tall.
As i said it comes with 4 forks, each for has a different coloured ring on the bottom of the handle, this is a great idea if you give each person a fork so you don't get mixed up when eating. The forks have plastic handles on them and 2 prongs at the end for holding the item on.

To use the Kitchen craft chocolate fondue set, firstly i prep the food to be used, i normally have strawberries cut in half, marshmallows , slices of banana, apple sliced, small fudge cubes and mini doughnuts. I have used liquid chocolate, chocolate chips but our favorite is silver spoons cooking chocolate bars, i also find the bars melt better than the chips. Brake up the chocolate bar putting it all in the dipping bowl on top of the pillar, light the tea light candle and wait. It only takes around five minutes for the chocolate to melt the flame is hot , heats up the bowl quickly and melts the chocolate, i always give a little stir with the fork make sure there is no lumps before dipping.

Me and my family love using the fondue set, it actually only gets used on special occasions like birthdays or maybe when family, friends are over for dinner. I love the fudge cubes with warm chocolate on them yummy. The forks grip the food well even the fruit and one dip in the chocolate then eat. Its a lovely little set and sure makes dessert time interesting, fun for my children with me helping them for safety reasons.

Cleaning the fondue set is fairly easy as it can be hand washed in hot water to remove any left over chocolate and its safe for dishwasher use too although i prefer to hand wash it.
