I was bought a colour changing clock with natural sounds by my sister. I was absolutely delighted when I received it and she had kindly included the 3 AAA batteries which were required but are not included. I had asked for a clock that I could read in the dark as when my son is stirring or going to the toilet I need to know whether it is lat enough for him to get up. I wasn't especially bothered about and alarm feature as I have a three year old who is my own personal alarm clock which sadly I am unable to set to a later time. I also hate the sound of ticking clocks which was my final requirement.

The clock is a ball shape with a speaker on top four small legs to prevent it rolling. The clock face is white with seven buttons the sound button is the larger in the middle. The white legs and plastic face does look a little cheap and tacky.

I inserted the batteries which were simple enough but then to set the time it required me to read the instructions. The Clock doesn't just store the time but also the date including year just in case you have been time travelling in your sleep. . Pressing any single button makes a beeping sound so the chances of altering your alarm clock while someone is asleep and not disturbing them is very slim.

The nature sounds come with a list of choices the list is: Barnyard, Forest, Waterfall, Tropical Birds, Ocean, and Medley. These are either part of your alarm or can be simply played by pressing the sound button. Sadly these are far too loud to be relaxing and on the only occasion it has woke me up I nearly jumped out of my skin. This clock would really benefit with a volume button. The length of time it plays for can be set in ten minute increments.

The clock does change colour which is very relaxing should you be able to put it on without the loud music but this is very short when you press the sound button or the alarm goes off.
It also has a temperature display which while I don't really have a need for this button it would have been very useful when my son was a baby. I did have a Gro egg room thermometer in his room but when he frequently came into my room in the night I didn't move the Gro egg and it would have been useful to ensure it was the correct temperature for him at night.

The biggest fault with this clock in my opinion is that the time does not glow in the dark so I am not in any better position as I now have to turn the light on to read the time. I cannot anyone wants an alarm clock that they cannot read in the dark.

I do love the concept of this clock and with a little more thought it could have been an amazing clock but sadly this clock does not help me in anyway. It is available for £7.99 with free postage however I do not recommend this clock I would purchase something much more functional. I will look out for a clock that suits my needs better and recommend that you do the same.
