Mila Childrens Wall Clock Little Princess
Although my little one is too young to tell the time yet, we came across this clock at a car boot sale for £2.00 and thought it would make a lovely addition to her newly decorated bedroom. Checking on Amazon.co.uk for the price, I have found that the price on average is £17.68 so we got ourselves a right bargain. Although the clock is lovely, I don't think I would have paid the full RRP for it as it does seem a lot of money for a children's clock, especially considering it will be a while before my youngster will be able to use it for actual time telling!
The clock is a reasonable sized clock at 22cm in diameter with the main colouring of a pale pink. In the centre there is a lovely picture of a princess dressed in darker pink. The numbers around the outside are bold and large which is great for children, and have a slight fun feel to the font. There is the usual two time hands, both in black to stand out, as well as a second hand in red.
The material is a thin metal material, though seems quite flimsy, not that this should matter too much as it is a wall hanging clock and apart from falling off of the wall then it should be fine! It does state on Amazon that it is unbreakable metal though I wouldn't want to test this! The time adjuster is situated on the back and does seem to need updating regularly, especially if the batteries need changing, though this happens in a lot of clocks. Also on the back is a small hook to hang it, though we have found that this is slightly misaligned which makes the clock hang slightly at an angle which is annoying.
One thing that I find annoying, though doesn't bother my little one at all, is the extremely loud ticking! I have rarely heard a clock tick so loudly! Luckily it does not bother my daughter, though if you have a light sleeping child then do keep this in mind.
Although there are a few negatives with this clock, I am extremely happy with my purchase, as is my little one, though I did manage to pick it up for £2.00. If I had paid the full price on Amazon, I think I would have been more disappointed.
Summary: A great clock if you can find it cheap, though at the RRP not worth it
