Advantages: well-made, quirky
In the summer I visited a local garden centre, in the centre there was a really nice gift shop section which I couldn't help but have a wander around.
I came across a range of products and one was this potato scrubbing brush.
I found it really quirky and cute.
It was big enough to hold comfortably in your hand and seemed really novelty with it's googly eyes, smile and green boots.
The back of the potato held the brush which had white bristles and were a good size.
The potato brush was priced at £2.99... though from reading the other reviews posted I saw others got it from Dunelm Mill for £1.99. I guess as I was in a gift shop it was bound to cost more so it is worth looking online on sites like Amazon or Ebay or at Dunelm Mill if you would like to purchase it.
There were other products in the range and I saw some cute looking vegetable peelers too.
In terms of using the brush is really easy to hold and scrub away at with potatoes and other vegetables.
It doesn't take long to clean the vegetables with it and it is easy to store away, due to the feet on the brush I am able to stand it up under the kitchen sink.
In terms of washing it cannot be used in the dishwasher but it is easily washed under soapy water.
The brush is well made and the googly eyes and green boots/feet of the brush are still well in place.
Really this is a novelty item and if you were after a standard brush you can probably find one cheaper, I just thought it was quite a cute little gadget to have in the kitchen. I guess it would also appeal to children if you were trying to get them to help in the kitchen more.
Thanks for reading :)
