Personally however, I have found that I no longer use the projector function, as at times it can be distracting when you are trying to get to sleep, and it really isn't that much effort to just look at the screen, which also displays the time in large, clear digital letters. Aside from the projector this still stands as a good clock, the most useful feature of which I have found to be its ability to automatically update the time and date using radio signals, so that it is never inaccurate b...more

Premium Review Projection Clock: great for people with bad sight (222 words)
by - written on 04/01/08 (Useful, 37 readings)
Rating:

This alarm clock is realy easy to use, easy to set and is loud enough to wake the dead. It has an electronic display to see the time during the day and a projector to project the time on to your wall at night. I brought my dad one of these a while ago from argos for £20 I brought it particularly for my dad as he has very poor eye sight, i mean it is realy bad, with out his glasses on which he wears constantly unless sleeping he wouldnt see any thing. He used to drive my mom mad getting out of bed to put his glasses on and the landing light just to see what time it was in the middle of the night so when i saw this i thought id get one to try ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review An Alarmingly good gadget! (781 words)

I've got an alarm clock I hear you say! So why would I even be remotely interested in a new more gadgety one? Now many of you know I'm renowned for my gadgets and you could be forgiven for thinking this is one of my more frivolous purchases. Far from it, my old clock kept dying and I slowly gathered a collection of them to ensure I get out of bed on time. In fact some mornings I swear there's an extra one on the other side of the room wailing at me! So the search was on for a clock that could fulfil my gadget fantasies (sad I know). Firstly I wanted it to lock to Rugby, now that doesn't mean waking up late to find it perched on ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Projection Clock: The super lazy alarm clock - project the light! (420 words)
by - written on 07/03/09 (Very useful, 44 readings)

I got this alarm clock as a birthday present from an Uncle. It seemed pretty high tech for an alarm clock, and having now used it for a number of years I am very glad I was given it! Firstly, using it as a simple alarm clock it does it's job wonderfully. The alarm is loud and continues to beep until 'Snoozed' or 'Turned Off', for a good minute; enough to wake anyone up (though I have to confess I have at times slept through it, but I am a heavy sleeper - so if on the whole it can get me up, it does it a pretty decent job). Ever thought of having two alarms? Well you can with this product. I've never really seen the need to use the two alarm feature, but I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Neat, functional projection clock. (189 words)

The main selling point of this clock, brought to you by the good people at Oregon Scientific, is its ability to project the time onto the ceiling, a wall, or any similar surface. This can actually be very useful for the more lazy among use, as it negates the need to even roll over when in bed in order to check the time. Personally however, I have found that I no longer use the projector function, as at times it can be distracting when you are trying to get to sleep, and it really isn't that much effort to just look at the screen, which also displays the time in large, clear digital letters.
