Advantages: Very Good
Disadvantages: None
When I am doing my homework from school the best things in my pencil case are my selection of Stabilo Boss Highlighter pens. I have about seven in all different colours but my favourites are the pink and yellow highlighters because these are the ones which seem to make things stand out best on the page.
They are very comfortable to hold and it is easy to draw a straight and tidy line through either text or to draw my attention to something like a graph or diagram on the page I am working from.
You can buy different Stabilo Boss Highlighters for different thickness of lines, I have just checked and mine draw a 4mm line which I think is perfect as I am usually using them in my school exercise books which are lined and any thinner or thicker line would look strange between the perfectly spaced lines. All of the colours give a perfect finish with no bleeding of the ink onto my page and they do not obliterate the writing underneath which is what I found some cheaper highlighters did recently.
Another thing I like about these highlighters is that I can write over the top of them using either my ink pen or a biro, even pencil will write over the yellow one but I find that some of the colours make pencil look too washed out and pale to be of any use in my revision.
I buy mine when we go to Staples and they cost around £5 for six full size pens. This might sound expensive but the pens last a long time providing you put the top on properly so I don't mind spending on them. The tops are easy to put on and you'll know if they're on properly or not because there will be a small click as the top latches in place at the top of the pen. If you do this each time then you will find that your Stabilo Boss pens will last much longer than if you just throw them into your pencil case with the top half on.
At the moment you can buy Stabilo Boss Highlighters in pink, green, blue, yellow, orange and a darker green. They are all nice colours but I think the most florescent are definately the pink, yellow and orange and it will be these that makes your work stand out, but I think the blue one is very good for colouring axis lines on graphs because it is a slightly darker ink and it helps to make the graph stand out well.
Summary: Good Quality Highlighters
